Jon is wearing a shirt in this episode with Isaiah 40:31 on it. The verse says:
"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary;
they shall walk, and not faint."
What an appropriate bible passage for this family as they must be weary after trying to raise 8 kids! I like that they are not ashamed to show their Christian beliefs on national TV - Good for you Gosselins!
Anyways, this episode is about Jon spending a day alone with the 3 sextuplet boys "doing guy things". So he takes them to a par 3 golf course. To me, the boys seem a little young to really enjoy the golf aspect ( they are only 3 or 4 yrs old). So I think maybe this was mainly something Jon wanted to do. But the boys did seem to have fun. They mostly ran around the course while Jon was playing golf. They liked riding in the golf cart. At one point, there is a hill with wood steps that the boys run up & down while Jon plays the surrounding 3-4 holes. I'm not sure as a parent I would have liked my kids that far away from my supervision. But I guess the crew must have been helping watch the boys also. At one point on the golf cart, Collin freaks out that "Joel is getting me dirty". Jon tells him not to worry about it and that his mom has him "brain-warped" into thinking they have to be clean boys all the time. Funny!
Anyways, when they got back, Jon said he thinks they had fun, but he wasn't paying too much attention because he was trying to score. But there was no blood, so he guesses that is a good day! Kates take on golf is basically that it is "a weird thing that guys do that costs a lot of money". She talks about the differences between the boys and girls, and that the boys are basically very dirty, and loud, and get filthy nails. Then she goes on about the virtues of girls. You can't help but think she perhaps favors the girls more.
While the boys are gone, Kate and the girls make monkey munch (snack food).
At the end. Kate reminds Jon that it will be her turn next to take the girls out by herself, and that "I'll have 5 kids and you only had 3 kids".
But who's keeping score...
