Good Show (w/rant)
TravellingTuner9725 April 2022
I enjoyed the episodes I watched, all round good show, Thumbs Up.

Rant: I am currently laughing at some of these other reviews, because apparently "power rangers has never had romantic relationships of any kind." Really I'm just shaking my head at these people who are only now noticing power rangers had relationships when they introduced a lesbian couple, like geez, heteronormativity much? List of romantic relationships in PR (off the top of my head): Tommy and Kimberly, Tommy and Kat, Andros and Ashley, Alex and Jen, Wes and Jen, Trent and Kira, Theo and Lily, Dr K and Ziggy, Emily and Mike, Gia and Jake, Tyler and Shelby, Calvin and Hayley, and even last season with both Ravi and Roxy and last but not least Nate and Zoey. Man, I hate heteronormativity.

Rant Over.

Dino Fury, good but not the greatest
T-ZER022 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Dino Fury is the newest edition to the PR franchise. It's got a creative premise with the Rangers teaming up to capture sporix that are transforming into all sorts of alien creatures. You have one that looks like a rock and one that is a booger and so on. It's pretty creative. The morphing scenes are pretty epic, the techno music reels me in with how amazing it sounds and the Zord battles are awesome as well.

The only odd complaint I have is that the green ranger is female. While in the Japanese counterpart it's a male green ranger. I thought they stopped doing that switch years ago, but who am I to judge.

There are better Power Rangers seasons created, but this is satisfying. It'll be interesting to see where this series goes. I'm eager to see what's next.

Boys are not interested
olivertheworld8 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Power Rangers has been running for more years than I can count. There has never been any kind of romantic relationship, heterosexual or otherwise, portrayed. My boy has been watching it since he was 5 and seriously, boys of his age are totally uninterested in romantic relationships. That's why they have never included it. So why put a relationship in now?

WELCOME TO DINOHENGE!!
Popfarts9820 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Congratulations Hasbro!!! This show is just amazing and I know it seems biased if I'm judging it off the first episode but if the show continues at this rate, this will definitely go up as a fan favorite. Something I really enjoy about this show is that it keeps its audience in mind. It still has the dialogue that some people find cringey and the one-liners but it knows that kids aren't the only people watching the show. There's no back to school episode with teenagers who are clearly adults. These people are past that phase. The characters were all really likable too. I thought Solan would be annoying but I actually like the character. If you've been watching for a while, you know that for some reason the villains are always hunting down a power source and it gets really old. Ninja Steel had the ninja stars, beast morphers had morph-x, dino charge had energems, etc. It gets tiring and I rolled my eyes when I heard Void knight was hunting for some objects named Sporix but it actually adds to the story. Sporix are actually the monsters of the week. It's like the capsules from Time Force which is my favorite season of all time. They're like eggs that are hatching that reveal the monsters and they are placed all over the city at the end of the episode. In terms of plot, it's pretty damn good. A reporter by the name of Amelia is trying to get a report from a mysterious place by the name of Dinohenge. She stumbles upon a boy named Ollie who is there with his mother (who is an archaeologist). They soon come upon the villain named Void Knight who is looking for Sporix and the rest is history. Don't want to spoil everything because Zayto's backstory and a part about the morphing grid would fascinate fans of all ages keeping up with the series. It's a breath of fresh air and although it comes out at 7 here in Chicago, you bet I'll get up every morning to watch this amazing show. I haven't been this excited in a while. I actually enjoy the theme song although Go Go themes are so repetitive. The soundtrack is also quite good. I recommend you give it a watch!

So wrong and destroyed by netflix
opticuscro12 April 2022
My kids watched these power rangers (netflix) some time ago, I cast a glance and... I would say that in the 21st century visual effects, sound effects, storytelling, acting will thrive, but its not everything is pure bottom. Visually, it was done so badly that you wonders if they invested any will, time and money in this, sound is like a disaster I won't even comment on that. The acting and the fight scenes are so bad that it's just not watchable. The kids watched for about 10 minutes and switched to some cartoons, I didn't notice they ever watched again. In these power rangers, they also included romantic relationships, and same-sex ones, so since when the emphasis on power rangers has been on romantic relationships and such an approach in general. Well, this is a series for children, hello people, so children are not interested in romantic relationship. Thank you netflix you managed to destroy another great work from our past. There is no place in my home for netflix anymore nor it will ever be again in the future, for netflix and any of their work. Protect your children from bad and mind harmful content! I do not recommend this to anyone!

No redeeming qualities
chrisrootnick12 January 2022
Sorry I had to watch it since my daughter was watching it. There's nothing good about this show. Acting, writing, effect, looks. It's all bad. I'll give it 2 stars because my nine year old does seem to like it. But i can't imagine any grown up (or 10+) enjoying this.

Cosmic Fury... is amazing!
TheAGames1026 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I wrote a review back in 2021 when this show was still airing on Nickelodeon. It is now 2023, and the final season of Power Rangers has been released on Netflix.

I have got to say... I didn't actually expect for this final season to be pretty great. Though, there is things I would have liked to see.

Turning Ollie evil for most of the season was pretty amazing, and the suit they give him is top tier.

Amelia being promoted from the pink ranger to the first female red ranger was a great choice because even before they received the new suits, she was giving amazing advice in hard times for the team.

Billy coming back and actually being a mentor was pretty good, Mick being back and becoming a ranger once again was a good idea. Heckyl as well, finally becoming the Dark Ranger was amazing! I do wish Heckyl got a full on morph sequence though.

Zayto's story actually got me teary-eyed the first time watching, oh my goodness.

Fern actually becoming the first ever female orange ranger. An orange ranger! Sure, we had others, but they were either in a dream, or they were orange accents meaning they weren't technically official, this was the first ever ORANGE ranger... (If only Nickelodeon kept the broadcasting rights, it would have been the perfect marketing strategy considering Nick and the orange theme to it... lol)

Some things I would have liked to see?

1. A full team roll call. The only time they have a roll call in the new suits was in their debut episode and I wanted to see Zayto and Fern have a full on roll call, they had the pose and explosion in the opening sequence with a green screen, they couldn't have it in the actual episodes?

2. Longer episodes. Like I said with number one, they had the option of making the episodes longer, they were on Netflix! But instead they kept them the regular length. Even having an extra minute.

3. Better finale. Look, I thought the finale was fine, but the battle in it was pretty underwhelming, in my personal opinion. I was hoping for more, at least an extra explosion here and there.

All in all, this season was a pretty good and satisfying season. Really re-watchable as well, I feel like watching the series a third time at this point.

Nothing has changed since the 90s...
Baxxie2225 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I used to watch Power Rangers when it started, during the MMPR era. It wasn't great, looking back. But how is the quality just as bad in 2021? The sets look fake, the hair is terrible (hair extensions on the pink ranger, badly done), the storylines are so corny, the props look plastic, the acting is still awful and even the special effects are the same level they were in the 90s!

I get that it's for kids. But I don't understand it. Has anyone ever tried making a quality modern Power Rangers tv show or movie for the old fans? Because it has so much potential. For that audience so much more could be done.

Even kids won't have the interest for the same things we did back in the day. Even Disney movies for kids have better quality and are grittier than this.

I just can't get over how nothing about this show has changed in 30 years. Well maybe one thing: the original rangers could fight without being rangers. Now that's suddenly an extra power? They can magically do karate?

It saddens me. Why is it only made for kids, who maybe watch and then lose interest when they're older? Why not grow with the kids? Including the quality.

Hope it changes some day. But highly doubt it will.

Cosmic fury Is Terrible 😔😔 Major disappointment!
sharanyaaroy30 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
: Warning This Review contains Spoilers For Power Rangers Cosmic Fury: If you liked Dino Fury, You should not watch this show It is a waste of your time thinking that it will be 😃😃 Great!

Major disappointment it takes multiple episodes to just finish one storyline and The last 3 Minutes that are there could have been useful instead of Using Credits I don't mind If you make the last one minute credits but still.....And they get morphers In Episode 4 out of 10 and... The only good parts of this season are : . Ollie becomes evil great plotline could have lasted until the last episode of the season which would be great.

. Billy is back #Great.

Respect to the original Yellow Ranger "Trini"
ThunderKing63 September 2021
It's been over 20 years since I sat through a Power Ranger Episode.

Starting back during the MMPR and the Turbo series those were shows that made my childhood special. Sure, watching reruns I can say damn these shows are corny to the max. Okay, it's a kids show...However.

Power Rangers Dino Fury is basically the same as all the rest. It has a few differences, but the whole concept is the same. It follows the same formula from 30 years ago. This series is about once again the same plot as the other series. Random teenagers are selected to be PR, they fight, get Zords, bad guy fails 10 times out of 10 and little children enjoy the fighting.

I didn't see the previous series or anything after Turbo, so I can't fully compare it, common sense is they were all the same at the end of the day.

Dino Fury is a fun little corny show. The show is so corny that I thought I saw literal corn growing within the show. The acting standards is of an infomercial actor. The fighting is cool. The story is generic. The villains are generic, however they look more badace than before. The main villain looks so cool. All power rangers are corny verbally, physically and when they morph. Damn and Pink Ranger has a phatty. I'd choose her over Kimberly any day. In all honest Kimberly was a 6-7. Her looks were overrated in my opinion. Yellow Ranger was more beautiful. Anyways...

Power Rangers Dino Fury overall is a corny show and I'm able to overlook its flaw and enjoy what it has to offer. It's by far way better quality wise than MMPR (It should be). I just hate PRDF morphin sequence. The villains always wait for them to complete their transformation. HAHA!

Lastly, people will say PR is just a "kid show" that's why its so corny. Look, Disney movies aren't that corny, DreamWorks movies aren't horrible corny, Children tv shows aren't corny so why does something like Power Rangers need to be so corny and it does not reflect the time/behaviour that people are living like today. I'm not saying add swearing and have someone one roll a sliff.

I think the writing can use some work where it has Power Rangers who behave like jerks at the same time they do the right thing. Or have a kid friendly Tony Stark like personalities. Or a loner Power Ranger trying to fit in. The current personalities that are used in Power Rangers today is the same back during MMPR. The members of the power Rangers just seem too perfect in terms of life. They need a Spider-Man like Power Ranger where they juggle saving the world and life.

Last Words: I write this review on the day Thuy Trang passed away. I did not realize until I searched her on Google. It was so weird how I returned to the Power Rangers literally 20 years later today (September 3 2021) that she passed away.

I almost cried realizing that because it was so strange.

Awful.
dkent21330 September 2023
Obviously the original Power Rangers will always be the best. Sadly the makers of the show love to create endless remakes every few years; each one being just as bad as each other, even when they're attempting to do 'something new'. But what the producers don't seem to realise is that we want the original soundtrack to stay. The soundtrack in Power Rangers: Cosmic Fury / Dino Fury; sucks. It is very boring indeed.

And what's with the other Power Ranger looking guys in uniform? Two blue rangers? I'm utterly confused. What a terrible idea. In all honesty, the only thing I like about this remake is the fact they brought back David Yost, one of the original Power Rangers. Everything is just sucks. It's sad as I grew up with this franchise only to find out 30 years later that it sucks more than one of those sucky things. A vacuum cleaner; I believe.

Awful. But those producers don't give a hoot and will not take any of our constructive criticism.

Never Gets Older
arulasokan-972576 June 2023
Every Power Rangers series that i watched are amazing to watch. Filled with action, emotions and good story. This one is also good mainly season 2.

The BGM in most of the parts is just amazing 💯. They gave character development to each one of them.

In every single episode, they increase the powers, find new things, encounter new enemies. The twists and turns are also present.

I kinda missed the yellow ranger and settled for the gold one.

The Climax is in Season 2, last episode and it was just amazing and almost like what i wanted. Couldn't made that ending a bit better. Amd i think there will be a season 3 so not am end after all.

The cast is perfect.
nathont14 March 2023
I only got bored one day and didn't know after watching this show I'd be reliving the Power Rangers portion of my childhood.

1990s we tuned in when it was on T. V. but shortly after the 1st movie their buzz was never the same. The newest movie 2017 was well done but audiences didn't really give it a chance.

With Dino Fury they couldn't have made a fan of the original more happy then with Dino Fury bc it was perfectly cast, stayed true to the Power Ranger culture and flow.

When they morph it was awesome the way they slam the ground. This show actually revisits the old "good morals" aspect that made 80s and 90s movies so great.

Dinosaurs again!
pbregmanjc5 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I get it, Dinosaurs made it work in the beginning, and they capitalized on it, this is the 4th or 5th time, but this season is a little different, yes 6th ranger and he's Gold, but the difference in zords and the different combinatons, 6 Rangers but more than 6 keys, unique armor and the ability to borrow a key makes it a lot more unique, some tale it too personally as an adult, but itns a show for children, we all need to stop being such harsh critics on TV, it's literally entertainment for many, and I'm sure alot of adults are watching them again especially with RDJ gone now, the next series sounds like it could be great for 30 years of PW!

The Story
JosephJaySirtest20 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
The character tend to be for fully fleshed out and make good twists on the formula of the Show. It's up there with Dino Charge for me. The Neo-Saban era tended to have three teams that seem too much cookie cutter characters.

Hasbro is doing good with the Franchise so far up with "Disney Era" and the "Original Saban Era" it's probably the best we have so far until 2025 right now

"Many the power protect you" The music is good, Love the monster concepts and themes of the seasons and how they adapt the Morphin Grid into the season and the Earth in this Ranger Reality and Messages. The Green Ranger Concept it pretty good.

Mostly just commercial for toys
alexbmorahan4 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This is a pretty good season, but I feel like it lacks most of the charm that has always made Power Rangers special. The plotlines are often overexplained and the focus is on things sold as toys. I know it has always been a commercial for toys, but that hasn't always been the main attraction.

As for the LGBT couple, it is great that they are finally representing such a marginalized community, but it's kind of enraging that it took 29 years. In addition, the way they did it feels kind of forced. They just drop several not-even-subtle hints and the next thing you know, there is a relationship. I wish they would just play it the way they have played every straight couple.

Also, in Season 2, it often feels like they are simply reusing old ideas and characters because they've run out of ideas. It feels like the franchise is losing its spark, but it has fallen and gotten back up before, and it can do it again.

One of the best seasons out of Power Rangers!!!
aditbiju2 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I just watched Dino Fury like almost three days like the whole forty-four eps complete and WOW, I was impressed by the mythology of expanding the morphing grid, the return of Lord Zedd, fan services baby for Power Rangers, great characters that the performaces was believable and likeable, and not cringy for once.

Spoilers alert by this more for the future season that is Cosmic Fury: Amelia deserves to become the first FEMALE RED RANGER that is FULL-TIME, which is GREAT and can make a new legacy for the Red Rangers for the series. I'm not going to spoil the whole series and the new one. Got to watch seasons 1-2, in order to understand what going on in Dino Fury, and in Cosmic Fury, they expect you to know what going on since the second season ended in an cliffhanger, and why I think Amelia deserves to be the first female RED RANGER.

The music kills it
cerwen8014 February 2022
I heard good things about this and I watched a bit of it and it's pretty darn good.... but then there's the music.... and that music is so unbelievably awful and dreary and it just drags the whole thing down and ruins the whole thing. It's like if you have the best cake in the world, but then someone pours mud over it. I just don't understand why they would ruin it with that terrible music. I literally can't listen to it. It hurts my soul.
