Khazana was the original name for the feature version of this production. Treasured is the name for the TV version of this production. The feature version ran at 72 minutes, while in the TV version, each episode runs at 15 minutes, at a total of 5 episodes.
The production was shot in a total of 7 days due to Rahul Nath having very limited available. He then went on to film 'Bazodee' with Soca superstar -Machel Montano and 'Faraar' with Punjabi superstar -Gippy Grewal, both of which released in 2015.
Rahul Nath had many issues with hiring and firing cast as he was busy filming the Bollywood movie -Happy Ending that caused him to change dates for this production many times. Ahmed Lucan, Bahram Khosraviani and Shruti Tewari were the only cast to be kept on from the original cast. Bahram and Shruti have worked with Rahul twice before in separate Nik/Nak Productions. Ahmed Lucan was the first choice for Khazana and Foreign. The latter he could not do due to unavailability.
Foreign - Rahul Nath's short movie was unknowingly the foundation for this production- Khazana. Ironically Shruti Tewari plays a nasty mother in law in Foreign and brought back the role for Khazana. The story line of Foreign is very similar to that of Khazana, however in Khazana, the main heroine- Ulka Simone Mohanty is an American born South Asian, whereas in Foreign the main heroine is from India.
This is the 3rd movie that Rahul Nath and Shruti Tewari have acted in together, and the 2nd movie that Shruti Tewari has acted in a Nik/Nak Productions.
Her first movie with Rahul Nath and Nik/Nak Productions was the short movie 'Foreign'.
This is the second movie for Bahram Khosraviani with Rahul Nath and Nik/Nak Productions.
He previously acted in 'Compromise', directed by Rahul Nath
