Sex & Nudity

  • Nothing is seen in the brothal
  • A woman flashes her underpants briefly.
  • No nudity
  • In some side missions, the player has to solve puzzles (Glyph puzzles), some of which include famous paintings containing full nudity.
  • Many women are in revealing dresses throughout the game, but there is no nudity of any kind.
  • A couple kisses and falls onto a bed, insinuating they spend the night together. The man is chased out of the room in the morning by the girl's father.
  • Some flirtatious dialogue.
  • The main character has missions where he must enter a brothel. Prostitutes are also in the streets, but no nudity.

Violence & Gore

  • Contains real footage of Thomas Edison's experiment of electrifying an elephant.
  • There might be blood but it doesn't look real.
  • Combat can be a bit brutal but it is very unrealistic.
  • There is little blood splatter, which can be turned off in the options menu.

Profanity

  • 1 use of the c word
  • There are about 5 or 6 F words while you play in the present day which is very infrequently as well as a few other milder words said in the same setting such as the s word and hell. In the Italian renaissance setting which is where the vast majority of the game takes place, most of, if not all of the profanity is said in Italian and if you turn off the subtitles, none of the words can be seen translated.
  • Infrequent use of the F-word, although it's usually in Italian.
  • A couple uses of "shit", "ass"

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Two hangings are seen in cutscenes.
  • The Kraken Easter egg may be scary for a large group of people.
  • There is a scene at the end of the game which may disturb religious people. (The games is made by multicultural people with different faiths and beliefs.)

Violence & Gore

  • Two men and a child are shown at the Gallows. Very briefly shows all three being hung. Disturbing and intense.
  • A man is hung with either clothes or bed sheets while wearing undergarments.
