CONNIE was originally written in 2018 when writer, Amy Serna, was living in Arizona. It wasn't until years later that she moved to Virginia and bought a home in the country where it was decided that her residence would become the perfect main filming location for CONNIE.
Actress, Erica Serna, was the third replacement "CONNIE" for the film. After the previous actress had to suddenly back out of the film, Erica auditioned for the role in the parking lot of an auto mechanic shop.
After filming the clock scene which displayed the time of 3:33 AM, our camera man reported that when he arrived home after that shoot, he arrived exactly at 3:33 AM.
The final scene filmed was 13.
Most people would never even maybe ask why CONNIE was given it's title, but the truth is, it was a well thought out plan for the name. Writer, Director, Producer, and Actress, Amy Serna, contemplated the idea and came up with the name as "Connie" seems innocent enough, however, it was also a play on the idea that Connie is, in a sense, a con-artist, as well as the fact that she became a constant in the life of Laycie, the main actress, played by Arianna Harris.
