All that glitters is not silver (web)

This is a show from the 80s, so back to my childhood, it features the great Erin Gray and as the future NYPD detective in his childhood too. It has a huge manor and flows of toys money... So everything cool to spend good times and i was happy to start watching (backward) all the episodes at last!

However, the pleasure quickly gone away and this 5th season is among my worst shows ever, as bas as the dreadful Saving Grace!

Almost everything is a disaster: for a sitcom, this season in not at all funny! It's not at all Married with children with the rich and i got no laughs. The stories are boring and repetitive: Grandpa has a girlfriend, Grandma has a boyfriend, Rick has a lot of girlfriends. The sets are very limited as the action is mainly about talks in this big hall. This Joel Higgins as a father is a poor actor: not kind at all, tricky and arrogant, very limited in comic situation, always checking, moralizing while he doesn't achieve big himself. Above all, this season stinks bourgeoisie wealth: as they have money, they have merit and those who don't are worms (see episode 23).

The only good thing here is Erin Gray: actually, she is the only one who has acting talent and she is really into making laughs! But she is totally wasted here, never being the main interest of an episode.
