The hardest Liquor to make
timewizard-817714 April 2022
I enjoy the show and they come up with some interesting combinations. I have always wondered if they could come up with a way to make, "Chartreuse", a liquor from France made by monks. I have seen prices from $157.00-$1045.00 per bottle. It dropped in sales in the 80's but it seems to be making a comeback. By the way it contains over 140 items.

Gives moonshiners & those that follow, enjoyment!

I thought the show started a pinch slow, but gave it a chance, and very glad I did. My Appalachian grandfather and his brother-in-laws always had some 'shine' going' somewhere, so this show hits close to home. I've now got the desire to get give it a go.

Anyone know where I can get a copper funnel that fits cap logic 20 gallon still? (exactly like the one on the show.)

Love this show!
westcoref20 December 2023
I enjoy this show immensely! Way better than the other boring competition shows because they are free to act normal without all of the bs! Very entertaining. Best cast from the judges and the contestants. I saw other reviews saying it sucked when the other Seasons came in and it was just them competing against themselves but I like those Seasons even more they're extremely entertaining and fun to watch. It's better than all the food competition shows definitely better than forged and fire though I do like that show but they draw out the competition so long and the people are so serious and boring there's no jokes it's just way too scripted.

You can watch this all day from 11:00 in the morning till 3:00 in the morning and you will never get bored it's always entertaining and they're so funny to watch.

Has the Forged in Fire potential but misses the mark for a few reasons
Schtaeve15 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Let me start by saying I love the idea of this show and I think this has a lot of potential. However this misses the mark for many reasons.

We need a presenter who gives the challenges as the judges are completely incoherent. That's fine, by the way: they're meant to be unintelligible as they're redneck alcoholics who judge jars of petroleum. But let's have a presenter (rip-off Will Willis) to give the challenges.

The floor is too small and intimate. Let's get a big old clock on the wall and more space around the contestants. We also need more descriptions of what they mean when they talk moonshine and more animations for their distilling process as they talk through it. Again, like Forged in Fire.

As a viewer you want to try and fool yourself into thinking "this would be easy" or "I know what they're talking about". This way, next time Buck from Hick County starts a par-boil on a half-full copper grate you can point at the TV and laugh at their amateur mistake. Why'd you use a grate, Buck?! There's a perfectly good hickeredoo right next to you.

The guy who does the voice over is extremely dull and the show is a little difficult to follow at times due to unfocused editing. We need clear structure: x amount of rounds, x amount of challenges. It was very slow to watch.

Now if we tie this all up with some thumping 9-string metal riffs, what have we got? Okay, maybe a Forged in Fire rip-off with booze instead of steel. However it'd definitely be a lot easier to watch and might actually be compelling viewing.

Hoping this will get renewed with a lot of improvements!

Season 1 was pretty good! It went downhill since then!
collectorofsorts12 January 2022
When this series began, it was pretty good. Each week they would give us 3 unknown distillers who competed against each other. And I really enjoyed that. But, as the show progressed, it's become more about the actors from the show competing with each other than unknowns. I see all those guys on the regular show and I already know what they can do because they're doing it on every show. If they continue this format, it'll be my last season of watching it. I want to see new people competing. Not the same one's we've been seeing for years and years.
