Toward the end when Bobby and his friend are talking with Jack on the scaffolding, Bobby's friend is wearing a grey hooded sweat jacket throughout the entire scene, except for one cutaway when he turns around to go back toward the ladder he is wearing a completely different green jacket.
Gene walks up to Bobby and gives him his first check and there are other guys standing around. Bobby shouts out that there's $200 extra on his check and when the camera pulls out, all the co-workers have disappeared.
Close to the end of the movie, on top of the construction scaffolding, Bobby is telling Jack that he has received a job offer. Jack asks Bobby about the salary and when hearing the answer he states that the world is a messed up place. While saying this, he takes one step up the ladder and slams a nail into the wood using his nail gun. In the very next cut, the last part of the scene -- where Jack takes one step up the ladder and uses the nail gun -- is shown once again.
When Bobby first picks up the plywood to carry upstairs you can see it has many knotholes on both sides. When he arrives upstairs the plywood is clear (no knots).
When Jim comes to Gene with a "peace offering" of Glenfiddich single malt, he pours himself a glass and places the bottle on the mantle with the back label facing out. The camera cuts to Gene, and when it cuts back to Jim, the bottle has been turned so the front label faces out.
This is set in 2010, but the news reporter mentions "current" things the Bush administration is doing to tackle the financial crisis. The Bush administration ended in 2008 . They later transition to the Obama error.
The shipyard visited by Ben Affleck and Tommy Lee Jones was closed only a few months before. However, it is obvious that his been abandoned for many years.
On the construction site Bobby carries four cups of coffee in a cardboard holder. The way he's carrying and moving it's obvious that the cups are empty.
