Southern Star Entertainment production executive Howard Parker – who was behind all nine series of reality format Big Brother – is leaving after 17 years with the company.

Howard Parker will be leaving Southern Star at Christmas. Howard has been with Southern Star for 17 years and in his role as Production Executive, he has overseen the production of many major series and most notably all nine series of Big Brother. He was integral to Big Brother’s highly successful return this year.

Ten has announced Lisa Fitzpatrick as the director of development and production.
Her former employer is Seven, where Ten boss James Warburton used to work.
Fitzpatrick will be responsible for all Ten domestic productions excluding news and sport. She will oversee the new creative development unit that is being set up, reporting into programming chief David Mott.
Ten boss James Warburton said in a statement:
We are delighted a television executive as talented and experienced as Lisa is joining Ten to work with David on building and deepening our content line-up.
Lisa’s appointment and the new creative development unit are key planks in our strategy to renew our creative content and to ensure we are meeting and exceeding viewers’ expectations.

Gladiators producers banned the show's new stars from taking on suggestive nicknames.
Chiefs told the new set of Gladiators that they could come up with their own names, but were shocked by what the group came up with.
According to the Daily Star, Sam Bond hoped to be called Randy because of his flirtatious nature, while Caroline Pearce suggested the name of Bazooka because of her large breasts. Meanwhile, Damar Martin campaigned for the name of Rocket as he is the most well-endowed of the men.
