So here is the second episode of Tanner '88. I think I first saw Tanner '88 back in 2004 or so (on VHS no less!), and it was a pleasure to watch after having heard so much about it.
Being a huge fan of Garry Trudeau's Doonesbury, I was very interested in Tanner '88, which was written by Trudeau. Anyway, Michael Murphy, famous for being in Manhattan about a decade earlier, plays Jack Tanner, and his daughter is played by Cynthia Nixon. Here there is a kerfuffle involving a protestor, leading to a misunderstanding and official protection for Tanner, and this gives him gravitas and projection init.
