Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • A Pokemon is captured in a cage of sorts and is drained of its power. It is strongly implied that this process causes the Pokemon intense pain and agony, and that if the process were to complete, the Pokemon would die. (The process is halted at the last second, though, and the Pokemon survives.)
  • A small Pokemon is repeatedly put in peril, usually at the hands of one of two much larger Pokemon who seem about to eat it. (However, this never comes to pass.)

Profanity

  • A small, cute Pokemon makes numerous rude (but G-rated) remarks about a human character throughout the film for humorous effect.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The villain is particularly intense for the series, being portrayed as obsessed and manic by the film's climax. Young children may find him frightening.
  • In the end of the movie, the villain's airplane is frozen into a glacier. We see him in there unable to get out as the power goes. Some could believe that he freezes to death if they do not see the credits, during which it is revealed that he is, in fact, rescued by police officers, who presumably also arrest him.
  • A group of humans and Pokemon are pursued by a swarm of Pokemon controlled by the villain. At one point, the evil Pokemon smash their way through the windows of the moving train that the protagonists are riding with little warning.
  • A glacier begins sliding through a valley in which there is a populated town. A character points out that the glacier would eventually smash through the town, destroying it. (The glacier is stopped at the end of the film, long before it reaches the town.)
