Amy returns

Warning: Spoilers
As this chapter in the series begins, we watch Amy arriving by herself to the session programmed for today. Paul is curious as to why this is happening. Amy explains she has decided to come alone because she feels she is in need of continuing the treatment by herself. Paul objects to this development telling Amy if that is the case, he would refer her to one of his colleagues.

Amy is in a strange mood, although she begins to open up, somewhat. She wants to know whether the stain she left on Paul's couch was successfully removed. He thinks Amy wants to check the place where she left her pregnancy. It is clear that as a couple Amy and Jake are going through a difficult moment in their marriage.

The problem with Amy is that she is showing a front because she is not really dealing with what she experienced. In the course of the session it is clear that she is suffering much more than she tells Dr. Weston. At this point Jake, who has been outside the office, looking from a window, enters the room. He also would like to continue alone, without Amy. Jake feels hurt for the way he perceives Amy is behaving toward the boss. Jake knows there is something between them. Amy, after listening to Jake's tirade, picks herself up, and leaves. Jake has no choice but to go away.

A tired Paul goes to the couch to stretch out for a moment. Kate opens the door when she heard the music playing inside the office. She is going out to a friend's to give her tips on decoration. At the same time she informs Paul she will be going to Rome with the man she is seeing for a week. Paul is angry as to why choosing a city he and Kate have enjoyed? The IBMd page for this installment shows Rodrigo Garcia as the director, but in the credits we saw at the end of the show, credit was given to Chris Missano, who directed the previous episode. The writing is by Merritt Johnson. The cast is flawless. Gabriel Byrne, Embeth Davidtz, Josh Charles and Michelle Forbes did a marvelous job.
