Is this a music video? Not sure what it is.

Warning: Spoilers
The normal format for music videos here on imdb is "performer: title", so these two here are identical for this one. But then again, even if he is not included in the title, the name of the artist here is Travis Scott I guess. I have heard the name of this African American recording artist, but other than that I don't think i am too familiar with him. Still I'd be very much surprised if it is true that he has only been nominated for awards, but never won one. That's what it says here on imdb. He is also a director this time by the way and looking at his body of work, he has been in many music videos and this implies that his career has been going strong for quite a while. The music video for this one here was released after Christmas 2019, so it is still not even a year old. It has scored comfortably over five million views on Youtube, which is not shabby at all. I cannot really see why, even if I just gave it another. I mean there is music in here, but then again not really. Nobody is singing or performing for the most part. This one runs for almost nine minutes, so very long for a music video, but the rapping does not kick in before 8:30. It also feels as if they rushed it there because otherwise it wwould be missing completely. And I cannot really say the wait was worth it. Very unimpressed. Before said music at the end almost there is a lot of eletronic music and people talking to, but it does not really have a plot or story either, even if it tries a bit to pretend it does. And the music in the end is also too much autotune for me. Apart from the fact that it is generally not my favorite genre. However, I am more than willing to give a chance to new music and new styles and new artists that I am not too familiar with, but here I was not won over at all. No clue why it is this famous. It is probably also not because of Julia Fox, who also starred in Adam Sandler's most recent critically acclaimed movies. I don't think she is a big name or anything. So yeah, I cannot really come up with any explanation why people should check this out unless they are maybe huge Travis Scott fans beforehand already. But it won't turn you into one. The opposite is the case pretty much. This is only famous because of what/who the artist was before its release. It never would have made anybody famous. Big thumbs-down from me. The lack of somebody actually performing in here (especially given the long running time for a music clip) is almost an insult. Highly not recommended.
