Lee Groban was a Chicago poet, artist, fixture in the art scene. Lee was thrown out of some of the "best" galleries in River North Gallery District, Chicago.
It took Nancy Bechtol, friend of Lee, 25 years to edit 100's of hours of video on 5 different formats. David Bechtol did an amazing job in making it technically viewable. wow.
Lee Groban was featured in the Poetry Corner on WGN TV Channel 9, about 10 yrs ago. The filmmaker requested courtesy use of 15 seconds of footage to be in this film. (which she already had been given by Lee) The official response was that the cost would be $4,000 per minute with a 1 minute minimum. Second offer was for online distribution only at $660 for up to 30 seconds and then $22 per second thereafter . Nancy Bechtol, the film Director, declined the offer.

Active in the late 1970s was the directed and produced by Michael Markowski and Frank Garvey, who also performed Live multi-media Laser Light Shows, Electronic Music, Poetry and a "Happening Event" Lee Groban was a regular Feature with his movement, dynamic spoken word performances.
