Vittorio Carli, is the Narrator and storyteller, he knew Lee for quite some time as a friend and poet, and gives personal insight into a man not many really knew. David Bechtol, is the Tech Guru and Production Supervisor of Shadow Bechtol Studio, who produced this film, and wrangled the original footage and photography which was shot on archaic formats in a collection of 100s of hours. It took Nancy Bechtol the artist/filmmaker, a while, 25 years to create the film, and now she crystallized it to a 43 min gem. - This indie is an artistic, psychedelic romp embodies a non-narrative view of Lee Groban. a poet, artist, performer and icon, who became a visionary in the 'Chicago Art Scene.' Lee participated for over 4 decades with his unique and personal visions. Lee Groban,- natural, self-taught artist. Lee had his videos by various directors/artists shown at Countless venues, including his final readings in the clubs/scene in Vancouver, Canada. Several times at the legendary ARC Gallery, Chicago, in a one-person installation/show at The Robin Rios Gallery "4 Art Inc" at the Zhou Brothers Center for Art, Featured in "Somnambulist", curated by Jenny Lam. The installation and in collaboration with Nancy Bechtol 2010, and in ARC, RawSpace 1998, one person show, curated by Nancy Bechtol, with a return engagement at ARC in June 2001 live performance with Frank Garvey's Robot Theatre - "Omnicircus." Lee has performed with Garvery numerous times with Garvey's Omnicircus San Francisco, and at Carnegie Mellon Univ. in PA. Lee has been a featured artist in Pulp Magazine, the Reader, the Globe, New City, Be Art Now Gallery, and many more, as well as in productions in New York City. In Chicago, in the late 70s Lee performed spoken word, poetry, at the first Chicago art venue using Laser Lights and multimedia video/audio original time arts on Clark Street, the Omega Center, with Frank Garvey and artist/musician/filmmaker Michael Markowski. The artist Is known for his live performances, full costumes, dramatic vocalizations in his poetry, and intense colored art works. Lee continues to show art and perform widely at diverse venues, including: Around the Coyote, Bucktown Arts Festival, loft shows and many alternative art scenes. Genealogy and ancient ancestry is a hobby of his, rooted in his bachelor's degree in Russian language and area studies and master's degree in library science (which surprises many). He loved to research in obscure tribal origins and especially revels in the legacy of the naming conventions, and uses resources in the Newberry Library, Northwestern Univ. Library and the University of Chicago Library. In addition, he is in numerous collections, and has received a grant awarded from the Community Arts Assistance Award (CAAP) from the Chicago Dept. of Cultural Affairs, City of Chicago, for a poetry and art publication and distribution "Higher than the Ground"
