The setting was beautiful, but the storyline and acting were subpar. Guys sneaking around the woods like cartoon characters had me giggling instead of feeling the tension. No peripheral vision for any of the characters when they were close to each other (one the hunter, the other the prey). Not lots of dialog, so we were fortunately spared that. And where did the gun go for the one hunter at the end? The one he'd been carrying the whole time? The movie just kind of ends without resolution for Conner...did they meet up? Did he get a cell signal?
I feel sad for them because I'm sure they were trying, and there was a nugget of a good story.
It did have a good takeaway lesson: if you go kayaking, take along a camo coat. And the setting was pretty if you like woods.
