What an amazing and lovely little short, the concept of it really grabbed me and I found it so poignant and my eyes were entirely fixed to the screen the whole time, it told a kind of story without having any real words, with the parents arguing outside with the world outside the child's bedroom being pixilated and hazy and the sanctuary of the bedroom so vivid and alive with the wonderful retro action figures and the games console providing a refuge from the troubled reality outside... I thought that there was something really beautiful about this and that it captured the magic of the young imagination and how all those toys and games that we love so much as kids can give us so much more than we may ever realise, and sometimes when you're a kid or an adult for that matter, you can happily lose yourself in the fantasy of a different world if your reality makes you blue. Nostalgic sweet and moving, one of the best short animations I've seen in a long time, I was very pleased to have discovered such a meaningful gem. X
