Who is good or Bad?
The truth about the school's past is revealed, adding drama and a reason for teachers to keep secrets. However, the world building in Alfea is messy, with confusing McGuffins and lack of explanation for key items. The writing is more focused on creating a teen drama than a competent fantasy world. Vampire Diaries' simple structure for vampires' society operations was effective, but the show feels rushed and messy. It would have benefitted from additional episodes to flesh out the story and allow supporting characters to grow from their archetypal roles. The finale may leave room for a second season, as a 50-minute gap between a big war and the end of the season. Bloom and Sky practice in the yard, facing Burned Ones. Professor Harvey teaches them to find their Inner Core and destroy them, or impaling them on a log. Together, they discover Sky is working as a spy for Saul, who shares Bloom's actions. The males face significant challenges when a soldier reports two Burned Ones operating together. Bloom is determined to uncover Beatrix's knowledge, while the rest of the girls realize something is up. Stella, who has learned tricks, presents herself to Musa, who senses her presence. They discover that Ricki's mistake was a purposeful action, aiming to make Stella more feared. Bloom learns that Beatrix killed Callum and that she needs to free Rosalind from her prison. They plan to use a magical book and talisman to free Rosalind and uncover the truth. Sky discovers Bloom playing with the book, and she reveals the truth about Aster Dell. Bloom reveals a hidden secret, but the details remain untold. Sky and Bloom eventually hook up, but Bloom's sedative tricked him. The other girls, blindsided by Bloom's actions, try to convince her that Dowling's interests are theirs. They also don't know about Rosalind and Aster Dell. Bloom eventually caves, and she hands over the talisman. Stella, the voice of reason, presents herself at the dorm, stating Bloom has a right to know her origin. Bloom discovers a mistake in the past when Dowling's mentor, Rosalind, was involved in the destruction of Aster Dell's village. The teachers conjure up magic together, but Rosalind lied about the evacuation, leaving them with guilt. Bloom breaks Beatrix free from her cell, with Stella's help. The students search for Rosalind, but Stella pushes Beatrix into the magic barrier, leaving her as a vegetable. Aisha warns Farah about the students' plans. Fate: The Winx Saga Season 1 is an entertaining escape into the Otherworld featuring fairies, specialists, and burned ones. The series explores friendship, identity struggles, and the impact of lineage on one's image. The series effectively pacing the mystery surrounding Bloom's origins, the burned ones, and Rosalind, keeping viewers intrigued. The Winx club suite adds to the intrigue. Fate: The Winx Saga effectively develops its characters through a large cast, providing hints of their backstories and potential secrets. The show also highlights various friendships, such as Stella and Musa's emotional chat in Season 1 Episode 5, "Wither into the Truth," and Terra and Musa's friendship development. The show's large cast allows for a more relatable and intriguing portrayal of the characters. Overall, Fate: The Winx Saga is a satisfying and engaging show that showcases the growth and development of its characters.
