Disappointed that there was only 6 episodes! Bring it back! What a great idea for people to meet. Jenna does a great job of pairing people up. I love watching the dances.

Warning: Spoilers
What a sweet & original idea, which is very rare these days! From the promos throughout the summer, I thought this was going to be about actual dancers meeting on the dance floor. I would have loved that idea but I appreciate it so much more knowing that this is for amateur dancers! What a blessing to be able to be taught by famous choreographers! I'll definitely keep watching this show!
Rehearsed Spontaneity

Two strangers lock eyes across a room. Something unspoken passes between them and they are drawn together. They dance spontaneously in perfect unison as if guided by the hand of destiny. As the music swells, their pulses beat faster until a final embrace, when their lips meet and two souls become one.
That's how it's supposed to go in the romantic dreams of who those envision love at first sight. It's not exactly what happens on "Flirty Dancing". They are strangers and there are no words, but the dancing is rehearsed for days and they are guided by the producers, including Jenna Dewan ("Soundtrack"), and some great choreographers. And the dance does not end in a kiss. Or does it?
This is a show for those who love dancing, those who like dating shows, and those who believe in love at first sight and consider themselves hopeless romantics.
The producers select a dater and two possible matches (datees). Each of them learns half of a dance routine. After days of rehearsal, dater and datee meet and perform the dance, without words, hoping for chemistry. After a few days of thoughtful deliberation, the dater chooses to meet one of the two datees.
I watched the pilot and found it moderately successful as entertainment. It's one of those novelty dating shows; not as serious as "The Bachelor" or as intense as "Married at First Sight".
Update 1/30/2020: After watching the entire season, I wished there were more episodes to enjoy. And that says it all.

Jenna Dewan was born to be a matchmaker. She does amazing work bringing couples together. I am not a reality TV fan, or a romantic, in general, but this show is something VERY VERY special. I hope it lasts forever. Please renew it!!
Awesome Show

At first you think this cant work but it's such a sweet blend of awkward artistic chance meets romantic chemistry, it almost makes me believe in love at first sight. I'm hoping for more tear jerker follow ups on "where are the couples" after the show, like a reunion episode bringing all the contestants back. Will see, so far, this is a great creative, whimsical alternative to reality TV.

Just saw your segment with Jacqueline and Beau..and of course another MMMMAAARRRRVVVVVEEEEELLLLUUUUSSSS couple ..:-) aired 5/31/20
THANK YOU..... to whoever created directed and of course produced not to omit the honest emotional reactions by the host and choreographer. This is truly a wonderful entertaining and inspiring program.
I believe all who watch some will be wanting same, others dreaming and still others remembering.... Words cannot express the real life emotions that your couples and the audience felt during and after the airing. Thank you to editing and behind the scene staff too. This is absolutely the programming that needs to be seen in prime time regularly for this season and all seasons.. Wishing you continued success..sincerely, me :-)
