The inclusion of the female detective onto the list was unwarranted. As disclosed, it was one ruling in one case via a judge that had an anti-law enforcement bias. In reality, most confessions obtained by detectives, notably ones in high-profile cases, are recorded either on audio or video, so it would be a moot point. Additionally, high-profile cases involve far more than a confession- such as forensic and other evidence. Another factor is that detectives usually encounter a suspect after patrol officers have contacted them, and the patrol officers read Miranda warnings to suspects.
