Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero’s Latest Trailer Looks to Have Refined the Most Pleasing Move in the Game
It’s an amazing time to be a Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi fan, as Bandai Namco has unleashed another exhilarating trailer for the next installment. With a theme called Master and Apprentice for the footage, there’s a lot to unpack, ranging from more characters confirmed to be joining the roster to stages that look like they’ve been taken straight out of the anime.
But there’s one gameplay mechanic that also gets featured in Sparking Zero‘s latest trailer that Budokai Tenkaichi 3 players will recognize, as it’s making a comeback in its most refined state.

Helldivers 2 is still going strong with an increasing player base since launch and Arrowhead Game Studios is ecstatic with the game’s future. Players have praised the game for its graphics, stressful but fun combat, and difficult enemies, however, someone from within the ranks of Arrowhead Studios made it even harder than it is after assuming the role of Game Master.
Johan Pilestedt is the CEO of Arrowhead Game Studios and has confirmed that one of their employees who goes by Joel acts as the Game Master of Helldivers 2. As Game Master, Joel is the only one who knows all and sees all. He can manipulate the battle to his liking and can either choose to assist players in the Galactic War or give them a massive headache. Recent activities suggest he is turning a new leaf.
Helldivers 2’s Joel Is Not Bad, Just Misunderstood
Joel from Helldivers 2 is going through a redemption arc.

Those who weren't of drinking age in the early 2000s likely wouldn't understand the baffling, Dada animated series "Aqua Teen Hunger Force." It was ostensibly a sci-fi sitcom whose three main characters appeared to be the mascots of some long-forgotten fast food chain. There was Mater Shake (Dana Snyder), a bloviating anthropomorphic milkshake cup, Frylock (Carey Means), the level-headed carton of french fries, and Meatwad (show co-creator Dave Willis), a ball of uncooked ground beef and the innocent "child" of the group. Shake, Frylock, and Meatwad didn't really have adventures, so much as they did complain about the weird aliens and mutants that regularly visited their run-down suburban home. The Aqua Teens were rude, dumb, pushy, and only seemed to dimly perceive the world around them. They regularly swam in their neighbor's pool without asking.
"Aqua Teen Hunger Force" ran sporadically from 2000 to 2010, making 100 fifteen-minute episodes. From 2011 to 2015, they continued their shenanigans,...

After nearly two decades of work in front of the camera, Dev Patel has crafted his directorial debut with the actioner Monkey Man. The Jordan Peele-produced feature, from Patel’s own story and screenplay he collaborated on with Paul Angunawela and John Collee (Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World), will arrive just a few weeks after its SXSW premiere, and now a new trailer has landed.
Here’s the synopsis: “Inspired by the legend of Hanuman, an icon embodying strength and courage, Monkey Man stars Patel as Kid, an anonymous young man who ekes out a meager living in an underground fight club where, night after night, wearing a gorilla mask, he is beaten bloody by more popular fighters for cash. After years of suppressed rage, Kid discovers a way to infiltrate the enclave of the city’s sinister elite. As his childhood trauma boils over,...

Competition between Rajinikanth & Thalapathy Vijay
There was a time when Rajinikanth single-handedly ruled the Tamil film industry, as no one was close to his box office pull. At 73, he’s still a crowd puller, but now, he’s not the only force. It’s still a topic of argument, but many consider Thalapathy Vijay a much bigger superstar in Kollywood in the present era. As a result, there’s a...

Peter Weir is easily regarded as one of the most legendary filmmakers in Hollywood, with masterpieces that have garnered several nods of major accolades. Also the mastermind behind Robin Williams’ critically acclaimed 1989 comedy thriller Dead Poets Society, he has led an unparalleled career in the entertainment industry.

This Halo article contains spoilers.
While it’s never pretended to be a direct adaptation of the classic video game series it’s based on, the Halo TV series has made some really weird alterations to Master Chief and his world, and the latest change to the story Halo fans know and love is the most bewildering yet. It comes just as the show finally sets course to cover the Fall of Reach, a pivotal event from the games and tie-in books that has somehow taken a season and a half to get to.
To be fair, there are a few things to like about season 2 episode 4, “Reach.” For one, at the height of its war-movie-style CGI-heavy action, the show finally feels like Halo and not a talky political thriller that only occasionally flirts with the spectacle of the games. Jailer’s glorious run at the worldwide box office

Move over, Nick Fury, it’s Mace Windu’s time to shine! At least, that’s what would happen if Samuel L. Jackson had anything to do with it. Jackson first played Mace Windu in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, but unfortunately, the Jedi Master met his end in Revenge of the Sith after his hand was sliced off by Anakin and he was flung out of a window by Palpatine’s Force lightning. However, Jackson is confident that Mace Windu didn’t die and would jump at the chance to return for a series on Disney+.
While speaking with Empire for their issue celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Star Wars prequel trilogy, Samuel L. Jackson had just one thing to say about Mace Windu’s supposed demise: “He’S Not Dead!!!” Aside from a brief voice appearance in The Rise of Skywalker, Mace Windu hasn’t come back from the dead,...

For a brief shining moment at the beginning of the 21st century, it seemed as though the historical epic was back. Despite the sniffs of some prominent film critics, Ridley Scott’s Gladiator walked away with the Best Picture Oscar in the century’s first year; a flood of sword and sandal epics invaded cinemas like the 1950s never ended; and it generally wasn’t a Russell Crowe movie unless the Australian thespian was waving a saber, cutlass, gladius, or other form of blade through the air.
Yet the movie which arguably stood tallest during this fleeting period was Peter Weir’s Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World. Not so much adapting any single novel in author Patrick O’Brian’s legendary Aubrey-Maturin book series, Weir pulled from close to a half-dozen tales in this saga set on the high seas during the Napoleonic Wars. Special effects supervisor Neil Corbould scored a rare hat trick on Tuesday, grabbing three VFX Oscar nominations, for his work on Gareth Edwards’ sci-fi thriller The Creator, Ridley Scott’s period epic Napoleon and Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One.
The veteran SFX supervisor previously won Academy Awards for Gravity and Scott’s Gladiator. This year’s noms are the sixth, seventh and eighth in his career.
He wasn’t the only veteran to score multiple Oscar nominations this season. His fellow nominee, Simone Coco, a VFX supervisor at Industrial Light & Magic, also scored nominations for Dead Reckoning and Napoleon. These are Coco’s first and second nominations.
Four-time Oscar winner Richard King received a pair of sound nominations, as supervising sound editor and designer of both Christopher Nolan’s J. Robert Oppenheimer biopic Oppenheimer and Bradley Cooper Leonard Bernstein movie Maestro. These are his seventh and eighth Academy Award nominations.

One of the biggest challenges of the Sundance Film Festival is trying to fit it all in and be everywhere all at once in Park City. On Sunday morning at The Park, a group of festival insiders stayed in one place for about two hours to take in a keynote from Everything Everywhere All at Once’s Oscar-winning producer Jonathan Wang and witness two producers being singled out with awards and $10,000 grants.
It all went down as part of a producers award collaboration between the Sundance Institute and Amazon MGM Studios. The "Halo" season 2 trailer has arrived, and it brings with it the return of Master Chief who is now facing a new, familiar threat to those who played the games: The Covenant. Indeed, this season will see the sword-wielding aliens wreaking havoc. It appears that the folks at Paramount+ spared no expense in crafting the second season of this show, but will that be enough to turn it into the series everyone hoped it would be in the first place?
This trailer is very moody and overflowing with gloomy action. It's got a "Starship Troopers" vibe to it at times, just without all of the vibrant color and blatant political commentary. We're also, once again, seeing Master Chief without his helmet off an awful lot. Love it or hate it, that element of the show remains in place. It's very cinematic and a lot of the visual effects look big-screen worthy.

Ever since George Lucas started making "Star Wars" movies, fans have found ways to complain about the franchise's main characters. From saying Luke was too whiny in the first film to hating on Anakin (both young and grown-up) to becoming the absolute worst when Rey was introduced, the biggest constant in "Star Wars" has always been fan complaints. Of course, this also applies to animation and Ahsoka Tano.
"The Clone Wars" remains one of the most important pieces of "Star Wars" media ever. It expanded the franchise to animation in a major way beyond just mini-series, actually building on the movies and telling its own stories rather than just acting as an advertisement for the next film. It also introduced many fan-favorite characters and changed our understanding of the Force and the "Star Wars" universe at large. It was a show so good it made George Lucas want to be...

It’s been almost ten years since the original Castles of Mad King Ludwig was released, and whilst lots of things have changed in the gaming world, relatively few titles have sought to replicate the tile combination of auctions and placement that made this game so popular – perhaps Isle of Skye being the notable exception. This relatively evergreen design has meant that when Bezier Games took Castles of Mad King Ludwig: Second Edition back to print, it needed only cosmetic upgrades to make it feel modern, whilst a few organisational changes within the box help make setup and teardown an absolute breeze.
Castles of Mad King Ludwig: Second Edition is a game for one to four players that really excels at three or four. The solo mode is basically a high-score challenge and whilst I am not going to cover it here, I definitely appreciate its inclusion, as well as its simplicity.

The episode of Best Horror Movie You Never Saw covering Puppet Master vs. Demonic Toys was Written by Cody Hamman, Edited by Paul Bookstaber, Narrated by Kier Gomes, Produced by John Fallon and Tyler Nichols, and Executive Produced by Berge Garabedian.
Need a horror movie to watch on Christmas? There are plenty to choose from. The classic slashers Black Christmas and Silent Night, Deadly Night. The thrills of P2. The brutality of the French film Inside. The insanity of Gremlins. But how about a movie where the lives of millions of children hang in the balance? Where a demonic force wants to unleash tiny terrors on the world… and they can only be stopped by a group of tiny heroes. We’re talking about Puppet Master vs. Demonic Toys (watch it Here) – and if you haven’t added this one to your Christmas viewing rotation, it’s the Best Horror Movie You Never Saw.

Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Leo has unsurprisingly taken the audience by storm. Although the third installment of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe is not as compact and tightly knit as its two predecessors, Kaithi (2019) and Vikram (2022), Thalapathy Vijay’s charismatic turn as the titular hero, the hyper-stylized action, and Anirudh Ravichander’s fiery soundtrack collectively make this one quite an experience as well. You are presumably here having already watched it, and now you want more stuff like Leo. In case you haven’t managed to watch the two other Lokesh films of this shared universe, you should see them before everything else, along with the 2021 action-thriller Master, another fantastic actioner helmed by Kanagaraj that doesn’t have anything to do with the universe. Master does bring you your Thalapathy fix, along with a brilliant Vijay Sethupathi in the fold. If you have already seen all that, then here we are with...

Hollywood works in phases. We’re in the middle of a vast superhero movie phase, which, maybe, seems to be on the downslide. Twenty-five years ago, war movies were all the rage in the wake of Saving Private Ryan, and once those taped off, historical epics became the blockbuster of choice for studios. Indeed, it was the smash success of Braveheart and Gladiator that paved the way for this run of films which started to tape off in the mid-aughts after a few mammothly pricey films, such as The Last Samurai and Troy, only earned modest profits for their studios. One such film was 20th Century Fox’s Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World. It earned critical raves but cost too much to become the franchise Fox was hoping for, with it being based on a long-running series of books by Patrick O’Brien. Yet, the movie holds...

Monday Am Writethru: There were two major new entries this weekend at the international box office, one local (Tamil thriller Leo: Bloody Sweet) and one from Hollywood. Starting with the latter, Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon from Apple, Paramount and Imperative Entertainment had a big opening with $21 million in 63 offshore markets and No. 1s in 24 of those including France, Germany, Australia, Spain, Netherlands and Switzerland. The global bow, factoring in its strong domestic opening, was $44M; great for a period movie with a long running time and at a moment when talent could not promote it due to the actors strike.
The international launch, excluding previews and on a like-for-like basis, is on par with Ford V Ferrari, 7% ahead of The Imitation Game, 14% above Captain Phillips and 25% over House of Gucci. Positive word of mouth has it positioned for a strong run.

Here’s some pirate math: If a pirate workplace comedy has over 2,000 VFX shots in the first season and only about 1,000 VFX shots in Season 2, how has the scope grown? By being smarter about how it uses them.
“We had a better methodology in how we used our skies and our oceans,” “Our Flag Means Death” VFX supervisor David Van Dyke told IndieWire. “There were certain things that we did [in Season 1] that were a little self-imposed, and we had to kind of roll up our sleeves and grind our way out of mistakes. The 11x Oscar nominee remembered the late distribution boss Erik Lomis on Wednesday night at the Will Rogers Pioneers Dinner, the two having worked together during the latter’s time at Weinstein Co. with The Master and at MGM with Licorice Pizza.
Paul Thomas Anderson had the first 70Mm made movie in 20 years with 2012’s The Master, a dream made possible by Lomis when he was the head of distribution at Weinstein Co. Later on, Lomis brought specialty audiences back with Anderson’s Licorice Pizza during Covid which earned then an opening weekend per theater average of $35K — enormous when cinemas were making their way back from pandemic in 2021.
Taking the podium at the Beverly Hilton, Anderson, said “I’m hear to represent the filmmakers that worked with Erik” before launching into heartfelt and hysterical speech.
“I first met Erik walking down the street on Montana Avenue outside the Aero,...
