A very consistent conclusion.

DCI Goode is on the case, promising to bring the killers of Banaz Mahmood to book.

Very good once again, it's a moving, tragic case, we hear the story of the murder of Banaz from the point of view of DCI Goode. It is quite literally the story of the honour killing of Banaz Mahmood.

Hawes has been terrific, I am a huge fan of hers, she portrays Goode very sensitively. Lovely to see William Gaminara, much missed from Silent Witness.

There is a trend for these true life crimes on ITV, we've had White House Farm, Des, and now this, all have followed a similar format, procedural drama. Though I wouldn't say this was as good as Des, it's still been a very good watch.

Very good, 8/10.

A concise story portrayed well

Having just binge watched Keeley Hawes in 3 series of ashes to ashes, I can't believe this is over so soon but, having said that, it was clear and concise and gave you an insight into the diligence of the police team and the culture of the assailants. Animal show like this would eek out into 3 episodes of more, telling if the lives of the officers but this did the job without the faff. Considerately portrayed and well acted. A bigger budget series would have probably shown the officers go to Iraq too but this offering told enough of the story.
