A good attempt to film something different in Venezuela

Although it is noticeable the film had a low budget, there are very interesting aspects such as the way the magic gets presented in the cinematography. I really enjoyed Rosmel Bustamante acting, he was the best of the entire cast. The other characters leave much to be wished. The storytelling had nothing really interesting about it, and I think some aspects of it could have entirely been avoided. For instance, the grandmother character was unnecessary. She was only used as an expository device. I think the film would've worked perfectly without her. The film to be more convincible in that aspect needed something else, but I am not sure what. This film reminded me of About a Boy, but the emotional connection between the characters was very weak.

Overall this was a interesting film and I recommend it! It was the first film I had seen from Venezuela that had nothing to do with shanty towns and poverty. It was an enjoyable film, and I hope the director gets to make more in the future.
