23 years ago today, Disney continued its renaissance with the release of “Aladdin,” and Abu, Aladdin, Jasmine, the magic carpet, and the Genie quickly found their way into Disney fans’ hearts. Part of an era for the House of Mouse that’s known as the Disney Renaissance, the movie that showed us a whole new world was released between 1991’s “Beauty and the Beast” and 1994’s “The Lion King.” It was the film that started the trend that continues to this day: Celebrities dominating voice acting in animated films. In the video below you will see one of the most epic floats ever created. This incredibly awesome He-Man and The Masters of the Universe float made its triumphant appearance during the 1985 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
I actually remember seeing this float as a kid on TV, I was a huge fan of He-Man when I was growing up, and I remember how freakin' excited I was I saw this thing roll up on my TV screen. As a kid it might have been one of the coolest things I had ever seen.
