Nuevamente Pixar entra a combinar aventura, humor y sentimientos.
Es una cinta ágil y de ritmo saludable que no aburre, pero a mi juicio adolece de situaciones excitantes y de un argumento que estimule más allá del simple pasatiempo.
Y ello pasa porque en esta oportunidad presenciamos una historia delirante y muy licenciosa, donde las alternativas son demasiado traídas de los pelos y tienen muy poca lógica, y ello le juega en contra. Es el principal defecto que le encuentro, que las circunstancias sean alocadas y muy absurdas.
Ahora bien, hay algunos pasajes sentimentales potables desde la carga discursiva: el hacer el duelo de un ser querido, el despojarse de los objetos y recuerdos que no permiten continuar con la vida, el luchar contra la antipatía y la depresión, el sentirse vivo por colaborar con causas nobles; y en general todas las ideas que favorecen el concepto de que la vida debe seguir a pesar de la soledad, la vejez y la viudez.
Desde la parte técnica tenemos gráficos caricaturescos, donde a propósito se presentan rasgos rústicos y grotescos. La animación está acorde a la calidad que nos acostumbra las obras de Pixar, con mucho colorido, con escenarios y fondos bien logrados como para que el aspecto visual sea uno de los fuertes de la cinta.
Los personajes tienen carisma y no pasan desapercibidos tanto por sus rasgos como por sus comportamientos.
La banda sonora nos presenta un dulce tema principal que acompaña cada momento de reflexión que impone el relato.
Es una obra que apuesta a mezclar aventuras y sensibilidad, salpicadas con visos de humor sano, y con una imaginación muy desbordante al mejor estilo Miyazaki.
Y entonces cuál es el problema para que le dé sólo un 5? Pues no me gusta el cine delirante que abusa y fuerza demasiado e injustificadamente al sentido común. No me termina de cerrar la idea de proponer una amalgama de madurez con delirio, simplemente no creo que peguen ambas características.
No exageremos, no sensibiliza hasta las lágrimas, tampoco divierte hasta la excitación, tampoco nos mata de la risa, tampoco es tan profunda en su mirada humanista y reflexiva. Sí tiene ciertas dosis de efectividad en cada uno de los puntos anteriores, pero sólo eso.
En fin, no sube tanto, propone reflexión y no profundiza en ella. Propone entretenimiento y el mismo es tan alocado que por allí nos obliga a decir: "pero qué delirio estamos viendo?", Vale, para niños que "vuelan" con sus fantasías sin cuestionarlas puede que les caiga bien. A mí me deja con la sensación de que queda indefinida tanto desde la evasión como desde la reflexión, un poco de cada una, no mucho de ninguna.
Aceptable sí, obra maestra no.
