Nice featurette from Severin, which was originally released on their MACUMBA SEXUAL disc. Director Jess Franco is interviewed about the making of the film, which featured Ajita Wilson and Lina Romay. Franco is obviously proud of the film as he thought the locations were perfect to bring the creepiness of the story out and the director also mentions that he wanted to use this film to return to Spain where he had left nearly a decade earlier. It's clear Franco was using this as some sort of comeback film. Another interesting discussion has Franco talking about why he prefers to shoot back-to-back films as it's much easier. Romay is also briefly interviewed here as she talks about working with Wilson on this and two other films. Both Romay and Franco have fond memories of Wilson and that certainly comes through.
The feature film, MACUMBA SEXUAL isn't the best in Franco's canon but it's an interesting picture with some great visuals and of course the non-stop, wall-to-wall nudity. This featurette is a good look at the making of this type of film and comes recommended.
