Some good shot framing but the puerile humour all across it spoilt it for me (SPOILERS)

A posh and stunning young woman relaxes next to a pool. It is a beautiful day. She is beautiful. The sky is blue. The pool is blue. Everything is perfect. As she lies back in the sun, she eats a perfectly white yogurt, enjoying every bite. However a few minutes later things are not so perfect as she starts to experience an upset stomach.

Not sure how to take this film because even though it is five minutes long I would myself appreciating some parts of it and hating others – often all at the same time. The joke is that the girl projectile vomits yogurt everywhere and then falls into the pool. The punch line is that, when she crawls out of the pool again, she lies shivering holding her stomach before, in a terrible brown flash, the same thing happens but at the other end. Now on one hand I have to give credit to Beagley because he has shot it all really well. He frames the early shots really well, with clean colours and set design. The actual vomiting is put to music and looks great in terms of movement.

Problem is that the actual vomiting is pretty gross and, as a joke, it is puerile and likely to only be enjoyed by teenagers. Up till the end though I was willing to give it the benefit of the doubt due to how good the rest of it looked but right at the punch line I realised that the puerile humour was not a side-effect but really the main thrust of this short. With the burst of sh1t at the end I'm afraid I had lost focus on the aspects I enjoyed and what I was left with was a comedy entirely trading on two extreme bodily functions – the end credits reveal that the character's name is "Posh B1tch"; very edifying and perhaps speaks volumes about Beagley. Anyway, I'd like to recommend it for the good I saw in it but really I was just put off by what it was all about.
