I'm a lifelong supporter of independent gaming and am highly critical of those who only play AAA games. I'm often angered by people who won't play a game simply because it's not up to their personal graphical standard, Daggerhood would certainly not appease them.
An old school platforming tale the gimmick of Daggerhood is the ability to teleport to wherever you've thrown your dagger to. Sounds familiar? That's because it was in Final Fantasy XV (2016) and they of course did it better.
Highly pixelated and small in scale Daggerhood is made by Ratalaika Games who are infamous for making extremely easy games that appeal to trophy hunters. To attain the platinum is childsplay but it only requires you to do about 2% of the game, to do more is fairly challenging.
What makes it even more challenging unfortunately are the bugs, the lack of responsiveness, the falling through platforms, and that's just unforgivable.
Daggerhood accomplishes everything I'm sure it set out to do, it's a harmless little time waster but hardly something most will want to invest too many hours into.
The Good:
Old school feel
Good gimmick
The Bad:
Buggy
Somewhat unremarkable
