Gabe Fazio gives the zaniness a strong anchor in portraying film maker Charles Pavolski. Hilarious as his fortunes turn from better to worse, Fazio never lets you forget Pavolski's struggles and triumphs. Despite the progressively weirder characters he comes across in his search for Roebling, he does an excellent job of maintaining stability and staying funny in the eye of the storm.

Plenty of weird and wacky characters are brought skillfully to life by the ensemble cast. Canan Erduger is very funny as a karate kicking pre-school teacher, Scott Addison Clay is pitch perfect as they fey, self obsessed Paul, but Gary Cowling steals the show with his creepy yet hilarious portrayal of Professor Spector.

The plotting and dialogue is excellent in this coming of age indie comedy. The film is well directed, fast paced, and funny.
