In the video showing the moments directly before the shooting at Hudson University, we see Bela Khan onstage holding her brother Rani at arm's length to her left, which action Det. Logan correctly interprets as Mrs. Khan steering her brother away from her and into the gunman's line of fire; however in the very next video shot of the bullet hitting Rani's chest, Mrs. Khan is standing right next to Rani with no distance at all between them.
The main characters are said to be from Sri Lanka, but their surname is Khan. This name is unknown in Sri Lanka; it is a Pakistani/North Indian name.
The rifle used to kill Gil, the bodyguard is said to be a "Custom US Survivor Sniper Rifle." The rifle is actually a US Survival rifle which are only chambered in .22LR. The magazine and bolt shown are consistent with a rifle chambered in .22LR. The only custom pieces are the grip and butt stock. A shot from that rifle (.22LR) would not do anywhere near the damage depicted, and certainly would not exit the victims chest in such a dramatic fashion. It would be far more likely that the bullet would stay in the chest, and probably would not kill the victim at all and would leave very little (if any) blood anywhere on the scene.
The rifle shown to Detective Logan was stated to be a "custom made" US Survival RIfle. This is incorrect as the US Survival RIfle (or AR-7) has been manufactured by Armalite, Challenger Arms and Henry Rifles for almost sixty years. There would be no need to "manufacture" a custom rifle when that rifle is already commonly available.
Additionally, the rifle that was shown was an amalgam of parts which are sold by aftermarket companies for the rifle, meaning that anyone could simply bought those parts and put them together. That's not the definition of a "custom made" rifle.
Logan mentioned that Khan was in the short list of Nobel peace prize but the fact is the statutes of the Nobel Foundation restrict disclosure of information about the nominations, whether publicly or privately, for 50 years.
The "custom rifle" shown to Logan flex and bends in the hands of the technician indicating that it is a rubber prop and not a real firearm.
