For many reasons, a good film, from atmosphere, story and performances. For delicate - precise manner to remind old truths. And, no doubts, for great portrait of a love connection in the fair terms. A film about two men, a night and something remaining always defined only by silences. The basic virtues - white/back image - most more than inspired and the simplicity inspired used.

This short is a sadly amusing account of what we Australians would describe as a "dud root." A young man walks his date home in the expectation of a passionate and mutually enjoyable evening. As the dynamics between the couple slowly unfold, our protagonist comes to realise that he will not enjoy the evening he had hoped for. This short is subtle, darkly comic and unfortunately, utterly relatable. Skilfully shot and edited. A welcome inclusion in the 2021 Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras Film Festival.
