Timmy's dad/ Mr. Turner Reviews Witches In Stitches

Warning: Spoilers
Ok, I think the Halloween mini-movie thing was just trying to be funny entertainment. But did it reach that goal? Short answer- not that much.

I feel bad for what I'm about to say because I know how time consuming animating is, but the whole thing felt cheap. The character movements were very stiff- I couldn't tell if that one witch was laughing or crying at first! There were also a lot of looping animations to keep things simple, like the two witches laughing. I saw that animation 3 or 4 times.

I was pretty confused from some of the characters' actions and dialogue. Like, how did that witch not realize she magically shrunk and changed into a pumpkin? And why did that other witch say to "mind your own beeswax"? They were literally having a conversation together I think!

The animation features a lot of slapstick, Looney Toons comedy, which isn't my cup of tea, but it's fine. The characters also kinda look like something from Hannah Barbara. At first, I thought the witches' voices would get annoying after some time, but it didn't. That doesn't mean I liked their voices- it was just appropriate for their characters.

I was surprised at how short the end credits were, but it makes sense. The mini-movie felt cheap probably because it was made by such a small team. And with that in mind, I think the team did a pretty nice job making something entertaining with limited resources. I believe the team has potential to do something even greater, depending on their time budget.

And I guess it was funny how that witch just winged it when saying a magic spell. Hehe!

Give it a watch if you want! I don't HIGHLY recommend it, but if you dig deep, you can find some positive aspects.

Kisses, Timmy's dad/ Mr. Turner

P. S. Why is it called "Witches In Stitches"? Is it because of how many stitches they need because they hurt each other a lot?
