Desperate. That word describes Newcastle United’s situation perfectly right now – because they look like a side who are hurtling down the precipice with no hope of escape. They may finally have ended their five-and-a-half-game away-goal drought but John Carver’s men have still not won a game since February 28th – with the Magpies succumbing to their ninth defeat in their last 10 matches.
Despite taking the lead against already-relegated Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road after 24 minutes thanks to Emmanuel Riviere’s first-ever Premier League goal, Newcastle’s ineptitude in defence meant that they were 2-1 down by the 61st minute – having been ahead at half-time.
A header from Matt Phillips that goalkeeper Tim Krul should have done better with and probably should have saved brought Qpr level, and then a 30-yard wonder strike from Leroy Fer condemned the Magpies to yet another defeat. Hull City may yet go down,...

One thing "Supernatural" has been very effective at over the years has been end off season cliffhangers, the final moments of the season finales often leaving you screaming and demanding to know what's next.
If You Hadn't Guessed By The Title - Spoilers Ahead For Seasons 9 & 10 Of "Supernatural"
The end of the ninth season was no different with Dean (Jensen Ackles) dying but the Mark of Cain resurrecting him as a demon. Executive producer Jeremy Carver tells TVLine that the season begins with Sam going on his own journey in attempt to find his missing brother.
In fact, Carver says "Sam is so invested in finding his brother that it leads him to do some questionable things that will make him and, certainly, the audience wonder which one of these guys is the true monster." Carver adds that Dean the demon isn't a straightforward case of Dean under the influence...

Supernatural follows up its solid start to the season with an equally satisfying episode which is heavy on the giggles and heavy on the mythology of the new season. It gives new show-runner, Jeremy Carver, a chance to flex his muscles and show the audience that he truly intends to take this show back to its roots without sacrificing too much in the process.
Picking up where we left off, Kevin is riding around with Dean and Sammy now, and after watching his girlfriend’s neck snapped by Crowley, Kevin forces the brothers to take him home to the loving embrace of his mother. Of course, half his neighbourhood has to have their throats slit before this family reunion can take place and Dean, fuelled by Purgatory-rage, is only happy to oblige.
The addition of Kevin’s mother to the group added to the funnies of...

Aww, Sammy! Good for you! We’re happy to learn that Jared Padalecki‘s character Sam Winchester is getting a love interest in upcoming Season 8 – yes, Season 8! – on The CW‘s Supernatural. The woman in question is familiar to fans of last summer’s Alphas.
TVLine is reporting that Liane Balaban has been cast as the “tragedy-damaged soul” that “soon reveals herself to be a brave, sweet, smart, sarcastic woman.” Like nearly every other character in the show! Perfect! That neatly sums up most of the reasons that we love the show! Along with the eye candy, of course, and she fits in nicely there as well!
Balaban was in two episodes of Syfy’s Alphas last year as the human Rosetta stone, so she has experience with our kind of show. We’re looking forward to seeing how things go for the Winchester boys in the capable hands of new showrunnerJeremy Carver,...

Sometimes the title of a film simply defines it. Take for example John Carter. Why would you spend a quarter of a billion dollars on a film then give it the most boring title you can come up with? But how about calling your film Merry F@#$ing Christmas? Now that's an attention grabber.
Black Snow Productions has announced that Merry F@#$ing Christmas will have a release date during the 2012 holiday season. Principal photography will begin in the summer. The first segment to be shot is entitled Alexandria. It will be directed by Otis (Second World Series, Dead Reckoning) and Jaye Lowe (Dead Reckoning) and star Elyse Dufour, Josh Murray (Adams Morgan, The Soliloquy) and Brent Bauer (Second World 3 and 4).
Merry F@#$ing Christmas will also feature segments from filmmakers J. Michael Whalen (Conquering the Rose), Eric Williford (Natalie’s Lose Lose) and Franklin Guerrero Jr. (The 8th Plague,...

We’re just a day away from the Season 2 Premiere of Being Human and Sam Witwer (Aidan the vampire), Sammy Huntington (Josh the werewolf) and Meaghan Rath (Sally the ghost) spoke to the press about several topics heading into the new season. They’re a fun bunch who are much like their TV counterparts yucking it up with the media and with each other. There are spoilers involved, so beware and scroll down and you’ll see two Syfy videos of the actors echoing some of their comments in our discussion.
If you haven’t caught on by now, Season 2 is all about each character being tempted towards the dark side of their respected monster. When asked about the big differences in approaching the development of their characters as opposed to season one, this is what they had to say.
