November 13, 2010: As many as four films are lined up for release this Friday but none of them come with good enough ammunition to set the box office on fire. A Flat, Ramaa – The Saviour, Diwangi Ne Had Kar Di and Dunno Y Na Jaane Kyun… are the four films in question but none of these have managed to create much publicity for themselves in the weeks leading to the release. A Flat is a horror film starring Jimmy Sheirgill in the lead and though the film sees the actor reuniting with his A Wednesday producer Anjum Rizvi, the buzz is clearly missing with not much being churned out of the marketing and promotional machinery.

Jimmy Sheirgill is readying for the release of his first ever horror film, A Flat. Though he has earlier been seen in Chodhon Naa Yaar (which again belonged to horror genre), he insists that A Flat is far more complete and is one movie which truly belongs to the horror genre. However, one can't deny the fact that the film carries an uncanny resemblance with Bhoot, the Ajay Devgn-Urmila Matondkar starrer, which was again set in a flat in upmarket Mumbai."The only thing similar between our film and the Ram Gopal Varma directed Bhoot is that both have been set in an apartment," says Jimmy who has now gone ultra selective in his choice of Hindi films, "Other than that, there is absolutely no connection between the two films."Continuing with his denial, Jimmy shares his reasoning, "While the storylines of both the films are different,...

If that wasn't good enough, he has also won the award, that of a 'Best Artiste In Supporting Role' category (for A Wednesday) in the recently held V. Shantaram Awards. "Yeah, it's a proud moment for me, since I had never been nominated earlier. Even though I started out 13 years back, awards were always elusive. This is why, even when I was nominated for the V. Shantaram Awards that by itself was a great moment for me. I was shooting in Punjab for my Punjabi film Munde UK De when I was informed about my nomination. I just flew down to Mumbai on Friday for the award ceremony and was pleasantly shocked when my name was announced as a winner", says Jimmy in a thrilled tone. Others who...
