Popeye takes Olive out skiing. She's never done it before and takes a huge somersault on her first run down the slopes. She's met there by "Pierre" (Bluto, to you and me). "Ohh, you're gorgeous," says Olive. Popeye is disgusted. Pierre offers to show her how to ski jump and gives an exhibition.
"That's nothing, says Popeye. Watch this as I do a double salami with a twisk." Pierre sabotages his jump but they both smash up in the process.
Later, it's the official championship ski race with the world title at stake. Pierre is entered, of course, but Popeye enters too, just to show him up. The race - a long one - is filled with humorous lines by both guys. The dialog is often the best part of these Popeye cartoons. Bluto's French accent in this animated short is fun to hear, too.
