Sex & Nudity

  • Gibby is seen shirtless many times throughout the earlier seasons.
  • Carly is seen naked in a bathtub with bubbles covering her body.
  • Nevel is seen sniffing Carly's hair and it is implied he gets aroused.
  • Sam says "I'll pay 1000 dollars for a picture of Freddie's butt"
  • Sam and Carly are shown in swimsuits in some episodes
  • Mentions of "hook ups" a few times, very sparingly.
  • The show has many scenes that many would consider designed to satisfy a "foot fetish" the producer has.
  • The first episode involve the characters talking about a teacher's "big pointy boobs"
  • Mild sexual innuendos occasionally. Mild flirting among teens, and one boy relentlessly pursues his female crush. Girls refer to boys as "hot" and "sexy".
  • References to "hooking up" and "making out". Hand-holding, flirting, hugging, references to boobs, and other aspects of teen relationships are mild in nature. Rarely guys refer to girls as "hot" or question the basis for relationships between "popular" kids and "geeks."
  • Characters suggestively flirt, embrace and even kiss on the lips. In many episodes the main characters say they're going to a store called Build a Bra.
  • Gibby is seen shirtless earlier on in one episode, and his little brother Guppy does the same at brief moments.

Violence & Gore

  • Characters in episodes are bandaged, they have bruises, a small cut on their bloody lips and broken bones.
  • Sam is shown assaulting numerous people (mainly Freddie)
  • Freddie is electrocuted by a security system that Sam set up in her locker.
  • Blood is shown on several occasions, but always in a comedic manner.
  • Sam can get pretty violent when irritated or angry
  • Much of the violence is mild comical slapstick violence. Characters are knocked down, beaten up, shoved down to the ground, hit with props/objects and thrown across the room (this is for comedic effect) Sam is a brutal and belligerent fighter, always eager to brawl whenever necessary. She usually resorts to punches, kicks and slaps.
  • The episode iFight Shelby Marx might seem violent (Carly has to fight another girl "for fun"). We see Shelby fighting Carly and another girl, but the violence isn't very realistic.
  • Sam hits people with a sock full of butter in "iTake On DIngo."
  • In a few episodes, Chuck bullies and beats Spencer up.
  • In one episode Gibby and another girl get in a physical fight and Gibby gets a bloody nose, he then slams the girl into the wall and wins the fight.
  • In several episodes Sam electrocutes other people with a shock pen making them faint.
  • The episode iGet Pranky is about Spencer pulling pranks (some mean, but not major). Once, he used some garlic powder to fall on all the kids in his school when he was a teenager and it burned their eyes.

Profanity

  • Mild name calling such as stupid, idiot and moron and shut up .
  • One brief use of "crap" in one episode.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The haunted Halloween episodes are very frightening and might scare very young kids.
  • One episode has a robber called the ShadowHammer who tries to get Freddie for turning him in. This might be frightening to very young kids.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • One episode shows the girls dangling off a window washer platform outside the high rise at least 20 floors up. The camera gives a harrowing birds eye view of the bustling city streets down below. The next episode has Freddie gravely injured and getting run over by an oncoming food truck off-camera. While the peril is off-screen, the immediate aftermath and his injured, bandaged and bedridden body is intense for some young viewers.
