Plot; When a threat from Eternia's past returns, He-Man and the Sorceress must team up to stop it.

The original Masters of the Universe cartoon isn't known for its great storytelling, but there are some well regarded episodes in its canon, among them are "The Problem with Power", "Evilseed", "Teela's Triumph", "Into the Abyss" and this one, "Origin of the Sorceress". It may not quite stack up against those episodes, but it's a refreshingly serious story (for the genre and era) that sheds some light on the mysterious Sorceress.

But regardless of how cheesy an episode may be, the moment Prince Adam holds his sword aloft and says "By the power of Grayskull!", I'm suddenly 8 years old again, eating cereal in front of the TV.

An Episode with some of the First CHRONOLOGICAL EVENTS in the series! Warning: Spoilers
_______HE-MAN AND THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE_______

-------Origin of the SORCERESS-------

An Episode with some of the First CHRONOLOGICAL EVENTS in the series!

If you are new to the series or you would like to see the series again, this is one of the episodes that you would like to watch first. Before there was a He-Man ,there was a Grayskull and two powerful swords, and together with this castle and all its secrets there have always been guardians, one at a time, that keep its secrets with their lives.

Some time ago,Teela-Na, a young lady from a humble village of Eternia saw her small hometown being attacked by the combined forces of an evil wizard, Morgoth, and an alien force that by all means we recognize as part of an army that we will meet again in the spin-off of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: She-Ra; Princess of Power. Teela-Na, hears an old legend from the old lips of a weak and humble man and decides to search for the mythical Castle Grayskull in the wastelands of Eternia. She doesn´t seem to find the Castle, actually, it´s the Castle that seems to find her, as it appears when she is in the middle of the sands of the desert asking for help. A mysterious voice invites her to enter:

-""You who seek help, enter. But know you this:

----If you enter the walls of CASTLE GRAYSKULL, you may never again be the same as you are now!--- ""--

This episode tells us the Origin of the Sorceress, as she magically shows it to He-Man while they are waiting the moment to impede the return of Morgoth, the same sorcerer she fought in her first battle and that now is trying to attack Eternia again.

An outstanding episode from beginning to end and where one or two of the most memorable lines in the series are said. TEN stars!!!!!!!

Thanks for reading.
