- Narrator: An important function of the Highway Patrol is to maintain the safety of the road, to prevent accidents causing injury or death. But not all the fatalities on the highway are accidents, though they may appear to be. During harvest time, the Patrol encountered an accident that started with a driver looking for a hitchhiker.
