The sheriff is about to shoot Barnabas when the ghost of Carrie appears. The sheriff is frightened and Barnabas chokes him to death.
Julia is shocked when Barnabas enters. He says the sheriff's gun was filled with silver bullets. Julia confesses she betrayed him.
Barnabas uses his own power to gain control over Julia from Gerard.
Later Barnabas tells Prof. Stokes they need a séance to contact Carolyn.
At the séance, Carolyn speaks through Julia, Grayson Hall uses a high girlish voice. She tells of the clues again.
Later, Gerard appears to Julia and gives her a knife to kill herself. Barnabas is able to prevent this.
