One of the most enjoyable episodes in a long time, a new person arrives and familiar characters getting to act differently.
It begins with the last scene in #803, Edward sees Petofi possessed Jamison hand come off, after being kissed Edward starts acting strange. He believes he is the new servant at the house. It is fun to see this stern, stubborn character suddenly becoming subservient one.
A stranger named Charles Delaware Tate arrived, another role for Roger Davis. He has no mustache like Dirk Wilkens. He says he is an artist hired to do a portrait of Quentin.
Quentin goes to Barnabas for help with Jamison. Barnabas is unable to use his powers on the boy.
Jamison later kisses Charity on the cheek sending her into a trance. In another fun scene, the proper Charity starts talking and acting like the brassy dance hall girl Pansy Fay. She even sings I'm Gonna Dance For You and flirts with a shocked Quentin. She comes out of her trance and runs upstairs.
Barnabas finds Jamison alone in the drawing room and drags him into the secret passage.
