- TriviaThis show always has featured actors of many races and ethnic groups, rarely using these differences as material for the jokes. For example, actors in the show in a particular week all can be children in the same family, whether they are Asian, black, Caucasian or any other ethnicity, without comment or reference to their differences. This episode contains two jokes with very rare references to the fact that one of the actors - Carlos Braithwaite - is black. While shining shoes, Ted matter-of-factly mentions that doesn't matter if Carlos gets shoe polish on his hands. Carlos simply replies, "No, as long as I can find something to wipe it off with." Later, in the locker-jokes segment, Ted asks Carlos if his Mom makes him do a lot of chores. Carlos responds, "My mother doesn't even know that slavery has been abolished."
