Lincoln takes Shirley to his house and keeps her tied up in the basement. No one knows where she is but Lincoln Meyer is suspected. Alan acts to save her. Meanwhile the suicide takes a turn as Jerry tries the case in a calm, professional manner. There is some nice pacing to the episode. Denise is having a hard time now. Denny gets jealous of Alan's connection with Jerry, even though they are really talking over a difficulty case.
