After a long and arduous wait, Ghost of Tsushima is about to finally descend into the hands of Steam players. From Sony’s perspective, these past few days must’ve been quite scary, given what happened with Helldivers 2 and what that controversy’s potential impact on their upcoming release could be.
All the worries can be put to rest now, it seems, as Ghost of Tsushima is already topping Steam’s list of best-selling games, showcasing how even the pre-purchase refunds failed to stop the massively anticipated title.
Ghost of Tsushima Currently Stands Second on the List of Steam’s Best-Selling Titles Although Ghost of Tsushima is a commercial success on PC, one can hope it runs well too.
Back when Ghost of Tsushima’s PC port was first announced, people knew the game was going to be big amongst the master race. The game is, after all, the quintessential shogun-samurai fantasy.

The experience delivered by a video game can vary hugely if the developing team makes sure that enough attention is given to the aspect of psychosis. A perfect example of this is the upcoming Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 title, which, apart from using Unreal Engine 5 and Binaural Audio Tech, focuses on the said element of video games perfectly.
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is going to make use of psychosis to deliver the perfect experience
The effect of psychosis on gamers is often something that is missed out on by the studios, who generally treat it as mere noise and as a filler to give depth to their characters, instead of using the element to its fullest potential.

It remains possible that players of Helldivers 2 will be studied in a few years, with psychologists and the military trying to find out what is their source of dedication, and if it can be weaponized. Starting with the server issues, players have stuck around for Arrowhead Studios to fix their game time and time again, and a similar opportunity has risen once again, with the transport ships refusing to take off under certain conditions.

The issue was even called out by players on various social media platforms, including the game’s official community on Reddit. Xbox fans have only wanted one thing since Microsoft completed its merger with Activision Blizzard last year: Call of Duty on Game Pass. The mega-popular franchise currently releases at a $70 price point every year, so having it available on the service day one would be a boon for fans.
However, a recent report from The Verge claimed that Microsoft is heavily debating launching new CoD titles on Game Pass, potentially due to the premium sales it’ll inevitably cannibalize. However, all hope isn’t lost yet, because Microsoft has reaffirmed its commitment to the service with a big announcement.

Activision’s “whole slate,” along with every first-party Xbox game, will keep hitting Game Pass on day one.

The Helldivers 2 community over the past week has shown what the players are capable of achieving if they come together and decide to appeal against something they don’t like. Making a giant studio like Sony back off from one of their decisions is no small deal, and to commemorate the same, every gamer has been celebrating ever since, with some even calling the negative review bombing a Stratagem.
Sony tried to introduce a Psn account linking mandate
While it is an unconventional method, it was the review bombing that ultimately helped the players achieve the outcome they wanted. The damage control for all the images ruined for the game is also in the works already, as players return to Steam to change their ratings and bring back the game back on track.

With the 20th anniversary of Silent Hill 4: The Room right around the corner, you’d hope that someone would give some love to this divisive entry to the series. Director Nick Merola has done just that. Much like Leigh Thorne and Ruben Abreu’s fan film Silent Hill: Road of Guilt, Merola has created a short film of his own, this time based on Silent Hill 4: The Room. On top of that, Merola has a more ambitious plan: persuading Konami to develop a television series adaptation.
Silent Hill: The Room recreates the unsettling and iconic intro scene of Silent Hill 4: The Room, where Henry Townshend (played by Brian Dole) wakes up to find himself mysteriously locked in his own apartment. Filmed in just a single day in Merola’s own apartment, the crew included extensive attention to detail. Things ranging from the chained door of room 302, to...

There is not much a player gets to enjoy from a standalone title in a franchise that has the potential to offer way more. Ghost of Tsushima falls under this exact umbrella of problems as fans are starting to believe that a sequel to the first game can create a new combat style that has already been established in the first game.
Fans await a sequel to this PlayStation first-party game
While following the likes of Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell will be overdoing it, the studio now has the opportunity to properly follow the route of Stealth-based gameplay in the second game after it was first introduced in the 2020 title.

The gaming community has been celebrating ever since players were able to make Sony take back a major change they planned to introduce to Helldivers 2. While the victory is indeed a significant achievement, it seems the situation might get out of control soon as players realize they have a concrete way of pressuring a studio into fulfilling certain demands.
Players managed to make Sony back-off in regards to Helldivers 2
It was a struggle of three days and felt no less than a tragic play by William Shakespeare before the studio finally announced on May 6th that it would be backtracking on its announcement which was posted earlier. The means of getting here can be considered equally brutal bearing in mind how the players have.

For Helldivers 2 fans and staff, the past few days have been an insane journey. But with official confirmation that the war is finally over, fans have gone back to their usual jovial selves.
Apparently, that includes making mock-up in-game cosmetics to commemorate what has been an intense, exhausting war against Sony for its recent decision to force a Psn link on Steam players to access their Helldivers 2 accounts. And one amusing community design has fans demanding that it be added to the game.

Recently, Helldivers 2 received a lot of criticism for something that caused a grievance between fans of PlayStation and players on PC. Due to Sony’s requirement for Ps accounts to be linked to a player’s Helldivers 2 copy on PC, several users on Steam took to the reviews and vented out their opinions and frustration.
This resulted in a review-bombing of sorts, but there has been a silver lining to this. According to the latest sources, it’s likely that Steam will slowly remove irrelevant reviews from the platform. This should help Helldivers 2 get back to its ‘mostly positive‘ ratings soon enough.
Steam Might End up Reverting Helldivers 2’s Negative Reviews It’s time to see how Arrowhead manages to clear out this dent in the game’s history.

The gaming community just resurfaced from the Helldivers 2 chaos over the past week, only for Sony to potentially land itself in trouble again. After officially taking back its Psn linking mandate from the game made by Arrowhead Studios, it seems that the company is now pushing for the same requirement on another title. However, it might not be that bad this time around.
Publishers of Helldivers 2 have now decided to go after another game for the same Psn mandate
Made by Sucker Punch Productions, Ghost of Tsushima is another one of first-party PlayStation games, and is now under the spotlight once again as Sony is set to bring an unexpected change to the game before it finally gets released to players on PC soon.

The big day has finally arrived for Fantastico Studio and Cannibal Tales, as Episode 1 of the horror visual novel is now available on Steam. As mentioned on the Cannibal Tales Steam page, Episode 1 is only the “beginning of a larger journey” for the team, as two episodes are set for release in 2025, culminating in a 3D Survival Horror game in 2026.
The release of Episode 1 coincides with the birthday of Cannibal Holocaust director Ruggero Deodato, who also penned the script for Cannibal Tales. “We’re deeply sorry we couldn’t share this moment with the master Ruggero Deodato, but we believe releasing the game on his birthday is a fitting tribute to him.”
In addition to working on the additional episodes, Fantastico Studio is in the process of bringing Cannibal Tales to the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5, as well as localization into other languages.

The Helldivers 2 drama is over, and balance has been restored, kind of. At least, Sony has announced that it’ll be rescinding its unpopular decision to force players to link their Steam accounts to Psn IDs.
The game’s Steam page is still filled with a ton of negative reviews, but it’s that and the widespread unrest and pushback on social media that caused Sony to back off from this mandatory requirement. And, at the end of this drama, Arrowhead’s CEO, Johan Pilestedt, has something to tell players.

Pilestedt is probably more relieved than Helldivers 2 players right now
Following the PlayStation X/Twitter account’s official announcement that the requirement change would not be going forward, Pilested immediately took the opportunity to announce it to the community.

Developer Supergiant Games shocked just about everyone today by announcing that they have decided to release Hades 2 via Steam Early Access…well, earlier than anyone anticipated.

There is no word on when Hades 2 will exit Early Access, but Supergiant Games says they “expect Hades II to be in Early Access development at least through the end of 2024.” There is also currently no word on when Hades 2 may be ported to consoles, though it’s highly unlikely we’ll see any console versions of the game until that Early Access period is over. Arrowhead’s beloved co-op shooter, Helldivers 2, is experiencing its first round of negative press, that too very overwhelming. The studio recently announced that PC players will have to link a Psn account to continue playing the game after May 6.
Hundreds of thousands of players were blindsided at the sudden change, which was optional at the game’s launch. Concerns about data security and regions without Psn access are being brought up, and Arrowhead has been taking the brunt of the blame, even though it’s not their decision.
Arrowhead’s Hand Was Potentially Forced By Their Publisher
Arrowhead officials have named publisher Sony as the reason behind the controversial decision.
The studio’s community manager, Spitz, revealed in Helldivers 2‘s official Discord channel that the mandate has been enforced by the game’s publisher, Sony. It was intended to be there since launch, but technical issues delayed the account linking requirement.

Helldivers 2 has faced some backlash and controversy in the past, but the most recent one may be its worst yet. The game launched with great reviews, and the fan base supported the title in every way possible. That sentiment has endured for a long time, but PlayStation is working to ruin it.
While people are quick to blame the developers for most, if not all, of the issues with the game, the vitriol being spewed against the team is unwarranted. After all, this is not something Arrowhead Game Studios wanted for its title, and it is doing its best to put out the fires.

Over the years, online play has become not only more complex but far more monetized. Whether it’s console-specific subscription services or one required for a specific game, playing online is rarely free these days.

Content Warning was released on April 1, 2024, as part of Landfall’s tradition of releasing a game on April Fool’s Day. Content Warning received its first major update a while back, bringing a ton of features and fixes, which has further increased fan satisfaction with it. Moreover, there will be some potential collaborations on the studio’s calendar, which may be something that will make the title even more popular than it is now.
