Michael Jackson’s latest video has premiered on Twitter. The promo for “A Place With No Name” was tweeted overnight from the late pop star's official account. A message tells Jackson’s 1.5 million followers, “It’s time! The first ever premiere of "A Place With No Name" right now on Twitter.” The video was directed by Samuel Bayer, who shot the clips for Nirvana's “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” Blind Melon's “No Rain” and Justin Timberlake’s "What Goes Around... Comes Around," among many others. Bayer’s new work features a photogenic pair dancing and driving a Jeep through a desert.

We've been watching American versions of Japanese films for years, whether it's "The Grudge" or Spike Lee's forthcoming retelling of "Oldboy." Clint Eastwood's classic Western "A Fistful of Dollars" was basically an English language clone of the work of Akira Kurosawa, who was of course inspired by American Westerns (cue Justin Timberlake singing "What Goes Around...")
Keeping that tradition alive, Ken Watanabe steps in for Clint Eastwood in a Japanese language remake of 1990 Best Picture Oscar winner "Unforgiven." American audiences know Watanabe from "Inception" and "Batman Begins," but let's not forget his introduction to Western folks via Tom Cruise and 2003's "The Last Samurai," where the Cruisemeister actually played the title character.
Eastwood directed Watanabe in "Letters from Iwo Jima," a mostly Japanese language World War II epic which itself was nominated for Best Picture, Best Director and Best Original Screenplay and took home an Oscar for Best Sound Editing.

Saw 3D Soundtrack CoverSideways Media provided a free CD of the Saw 3D soundtrack for review and the tracks were a heavy metal delight. However, there is more than just hard rock in these sixteen tracks. There is technology influenced rock, some blues, thrash and pop rock. Pop rock almost always gets an immediate fail here, but heavier tracks like "Goliath" by Karnivool, "Bad Ass" by Salive and "The World Belongs to Me" by My Darkest Days make up for what the soundtrack lacks. These are excellent choices for a film that deserves heavier, authentic sounds. A more specific review inside.
Executive Producers: Mark Burg, and Oren Koules.
Soundtrack Album Producers: Jonathan Platt, Jonathan Miller, & Jonathan McHugh.
Soundtrack Album Executive Producers: Vinny Rich.
Tracks:/Review Notes:
1. Saving Abel – "Never" 3.5/5 Decent, not too heavy, not too soft.
2. Hinder - "Waking Up The Devil" 4/5 Heavy enough for the film, good voice.

A list mentioning possible contenders for some categories of this year's MTV Video Music Awards has just been found. Britney Spears, Ke$ha and Katy Perry appear in three categories, while the likes of Lady GaGa, Justin Bieber, Rihanna and Black Eyed Peas are listed in two.
The rumored nominations are obtained from a BreatheHeavy member who claims as the one working at MTV. The source on the publication claims further that "the official site [MTV] with all the nominees and information to be released at the weekend."
If BreatheHeavy can be trusted, Spears will battle against GaGa, Ke$ha, Perry and Selena Gomez & The Scene in Best Female Video. The "Circus" singer will once again face off Perry in Best Pop Video along with Rihanna, Miley Cyrus and Pink. Also, she is up for Best Video (That Should Have Won a Moonman).

Justin Timberlake was the big winner Sunday night at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards, while Rihanna's "Umbrella" took home top honors as video of the year.
Timberlake was awarded a total of four Moon Men statues during the show, held at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. He was named male artist of the year for such videos as "Sexy Back" and "What Goes Around ... Comes Around" as well as quadruple threat of the year, which honored him for his success in the worlds of music, fashion, acting and dancing. Both were new categories this year.
Timberlake's "Let Me Talk to You/My Love" also won best choreography for Marty Kudelka, while What Goes Around helmer Samuel Bayer was named best director.
Along with its award for video of the year, Umbrella, featuring Jay-Z, was named monster single of the year, another new category.
Meanwhile, Fergie nabbed the honor of female artist of the year -- another new one this year -- for videos including "Big Girls Don't Cry (Personal)" and Fergalicious.
The best group trophy went to Fall Out Boy for its video of "This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race," while Gym Class Heroes nabbed best new artist for Clothes Off.
The award for most earth-shattering collaboration -- another new trophy -- went to Beyonce and Shakira for their video of Beautiful Liar.
Gnarls Barkley's Smiley Faces won best editing for Ken Mowe.
