Really good ghost movie
atinder10 August 2009
this is the first Phillippen Horror movie I have seen

There to different stories is this movie The first is about a hospital that haunted killing of the male patients .

Melissa who is one of the nurses and help from her boyfriend James, try to find out who the killer and found why some many of the patients are dying.

That was first story, I first ten second of movie were really creepy, it shocked me, i didn't expect something so creepy so early in the movie and this story also had nice little twist at the end.

Now move onto the second story called The Mirror Mum and her two daughter move into a old house, later everything seen find until oldest of daughter go down in to basement and find the mirror, while the other not far be hide, she tell her little sister story saying that if you make wish in the mirror at midnight you see will see what life will be like in future but then get more then they bargain for, when evil spirit start haunting the house.

I didn't not like The Mirror stories has it borrows a lot of stuff we already see in another such Bleeding walls just like in The Amityville Horror and the shaking bed which all seen in The Exorcist.

it got better with the twist at the end of that story which i really liked.

The ghost at start of the movie was really scary and very creepy but failed to keep like that but ghost were really good so was the acting I give 7/10

good movie - watch it

This is one of the better Filipino suspense/horror films that, aside from being tightly written and beautifully shot, has shown a lot of commercial viability. A rare feat nowadays when you either have an empty formula film or non-commercially viable atmospheric horror classic.

Cinematography is superb, the green cast of the hospital int. shots are personal favorite. Although i've seen it on countless music videos and other horror films abroad, it worked because it serves the mood of the film well.

One flaw is the excessive use of familiar faces which took away some of the suspense, but then again, they may be one of the reason why the movie was made in the first place.

Over all - a good film that i would recommend. it raised the bar of Filipino horror-suspense films a notch. Stop reading and get a copy.

Film's ending took quite a turn giving viewers the best surprise a horror movie could give.

The 2006 supernatural horror film follows a formula we've seen from the Shake, Rattle & Roll series - 3 different tales in 1 film. But in Wag Kang Lilingon's case, it is divided into 2 related ones. Uyayi (Lullaby), the first part of the film features the story of nurse Melissa while the second part, Salamin (Mirror) tells the story of a family moving to a new house that has been uninhabited for years.

Despite the similar formula, Wag Kang Lilingon took the character and story development to new level. We were part of Melissa's journey to uncover the truth behind the murders in Uyayi and understood everything in Salamin. But the film's ending took quite a turn giving viewers the best surprise a horror movie could give.
