This starts with a repeat of #585's last scene but shown from different angles. Adam starts strangling Vicky and she passes out. Carolyn arrives and she and Barnabas unlock the door. Barnabas tells her that Adam is the one who attacked Vicky. Carolyn tries to call the police and a nice startling moment has Nicholas appear out of nowhere and stops her. He lies and tells her he was with Adam all night.
Nicholas scolds Adam and they have a good scene when Nicholas finds out Maggie is wanted for the life force. He is angry since he wants Maggie for himself. He tells Adam how to deal with Barnabas.
