There are so many legendary aspects of The Sopranos that it’s hard to pick just one. Between masterful storytelling, deep character development, and uncanny acting, everything comes together to create a show that has been enjoyed for over two decades now. The most artistic aspect of the package, however, may just be the use of music, specifically the unique songs curated personally by creator David Chase that run during each episode’s end credits.
Ranging from oldies, foreign ballads, jazz compositions, and pure instrumentals, the variety is stunning and can keep you exploring the track list of the series for days. We’ve decided to narrow all of the end credit songs down to the best 15 in the series, listed in chronological order of airing. Enjoy!

While finding a bigger audience with The Handmaid’s Tale, Reed Morano’s films thus far have been fairly small-scale with I Think We’re Alone Now and Meadowlands. The cinematographer and director is now expanding her scope with the international spy thriller The Rhythm Section, set to arrive early next year. The film stars Blake Lively, Jude Law, Sterling K. Brown and Paramount Pictures have now unveiled the first trailer.
The film conveys the revenge plot of agent Stephanie Patrick (Lively), who discovers that the fatal plane crash her family perished in was an attempt on her own life. She then assumes the identity of an assassin to track down those responsible. Moved around a few times–from last February to this November and now January–it now has a home on Super Bowl weekend.

Terry O'Quinn as Gavin Doran in "666 Park Avenue" (ABC/Andrew Eccles)
ABC‘s slate of new shows for fall has a strange flavor to it, and it’s going to be a bumpy ride. The network has about as many new shows as returning ones (if you count all the midseasons), and a good percentage of the returning offerings are a year old or less, making this look a bit like a rebuilding year.
Not only is it a rebuilding year, but it’s the year of bringing back every actor and actress who ever had a decent run on a show before. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a network’s new season slate that was so crammed with people returning from something else. If you can’t make it good, I suppose, make sure viewers recognize the faces.

Last month, it was officially announced that David Morrissey had been cast as The Governor in The Walking Dead Season 3. Fans of Doctor Who and those that watch British television regularly should instantly recognize Morrissey, but for those who are unfamiliar with him, we have a recent video spot where he talks about joining the cast and knowing Andrew Lincoln.
“…David Morrissey has been cast in the role of The Governor in the networks’ critically acclaimed hit series, ‘The Walking Dead.’ The Governor, a character from Robert Kirkman’s graphic novel, is the leader of Woodbury, a small settlement of survivors, and becomes the chief antagonist for Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and his group.

If you thought that the Walkers were evil, think again. AMC will be bringing The Governor to life in Season 3 of The Walking Dead. THR reports that David Morrissey has been cast to play the role in the show based on Robert Kirkman's comics. In the comics "Rick and his group encounter the character when they encounter a new settlement of survivors in Woodbury. While Rick is a kind and fair leader, the Governor is anything but."
Here is a description of the character for those of you not familiar:
The casting of the legendary character -- also known as Phillip -- is a long awaited one for fans of the comics, which will release its 94th issue next week. The character's sadistic methods of leadership are counter-balanced with a personal struggle involving his daughter.
There was speculation that Daryl's (Norman Reedus) missing brother, Merle (Michael Rooker), would become the character.

The executive producers of AMC’s The Walking Dead have always been a bit cagey about if and when they would be including the comic series character known as “The Governor.” Today, however, AMC announced that The Governor will be a part of season 3, and the person to play him will be brilliant British actor David Morrissey, best known to Doctor Who fans as the guest star of the Christmas special “The Next Doctor.” Here are the details:

At long last and after months of rumors and speculation, the iconic character known as ‘The Governor’ has been cast. Since AMC first began an adaptation of Robert Kirkman’s zombie series The Walking Dead in 2010, fans have been anxious to see not only when the character will appear but who will be portraying the vicious leader who rules a group of civilians with an iron fist (and later an eye patch). AMC has now announced that David Morrissey will play the upcoming villain in Season 3 of the hit show.
I come from the standpoint of being a reader of the comics and a fan of the show. Without giving away much about the character, I will say that ‘The Governor’ is an interesting character for a lot of reasons. Yes, he’s cruel, violent, dangerous, and badass – all of the attributes of a great villain. However he also represents...

2012 is an election year and AMC’s The Walking Dead has found its Governor. David Morrissey has been cast as the major recurring role of The Governor for Season 3. Since we do not know how he will be written into the series, we cannot label him immediately as a villain, but he is one of the major villains of comics. It’s best not to assume anything with this TV series. This also means that Michael Rooker, who plays Merle, will once and for all Not be the Governor as so many have surmised after his story played out in Season 1.
Morrissey is a well-known TV actor in England, appearing in several British series including: Blackpool (2004), State of Play (2003), and The Meadowlands (2007). He can also be seen in starring roles in the feature films, The Reaping (2007), The Other Boleyn Girl (2008), Centurion (2010), Hilarie and Jackie (1998), The Water Horse (2007) and Blitz (2011).

"The Walking Dead" has elected its Governor.
British actor David Morrissey will join AMC's hit series for Season 3 as the Governor, the leader of a survivors colony called Woodbury. He'll become the primary (human) adversary for Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) in the third season, possibly due to his penchant for autocratic rule and for pitting humans against one another in Thunderdome-style battles.
So who is David Morrissey, aside from a guy who wasn't on our shortlist of candidates for the character?
If you're a fan of British television, you may already know him: He starred in the 2003 "State of Play" miniseries and the offbeat musical drama "Blackpool" (renamed "Viva Blackpool" when it aired in this country), as well as "Meadowlands" and the adaptation of "Sense and Sensibility" that aired as part of "Masterpiece" on PBS in 2008. He also appeared in the BBC/HBO miniseries "Five Days" and the "Red Riding" trilogy.

A couple of weeks back we heard Bond 23 screenwriter John Logan heavily hint towards a familiar villainous face returning to torment the world’s most famous spy in the next 007 movie that begins filming very soon. Right now director Sam Mendes and his Bond team are kicking pre-production into a higher gear, recently securing up shooting locations and no doubt putting the last minute casting details in place. We could be just days away from a firm title announcement on the film along with a reveal over who the new villain is. Could it be a return for Blofeld for the first time since the early 80′s?
So as we like to do around here with our Fantasy Casting series, we have put our heads together collectively and come up with 10 actors who really would make great contenders to stroke that white cat and plot world domination.

When the announcement of Tom Hardy’s inclusion in Chris Nolan’s third and final Batman film was initially made, the rumour hounds went crazy over who he would play, with the top three options lining up as The Riddler, Hugo Strange and Bane, with the masked muscle-bound madman coming in a distant third in that particular race. So it wasn’t hugely surprising to find a vocal and vociferous opposition to the further announcement that the Brit would indeed be taking on the role of he who is often referred to as the anti-Batman.
But, given the time to reflect on the decision, and the way Bane (and also Anne Hathaway’s Selina Kyle) will fit in with the rest of the Nolan universe, I think the casting is genius. And here, my Batman-loving friends, is why:
It’s Tom fucking Hardy

We’ve all heard stories about Discovery’s Man vs. Wild hosted by Bear Grylls teaching fans the skills to survive when they get lost in the woods. It’s usually something basic like how to stay warm as opposed to, say, giving yourself an enema for hydration, but one never knows what knowledge will come in handy. I’m impressed with people who retain this information. I’ve said it before, after watching a Man vs. Wild marathon, I find it impossible to walk by a puddle and not think about how I could make the water drinkable. But...

The UK may be struggling to keep up with the rest of the world in the arena of football, but we’re at least producing some top quality actors. Here’s Matthew’s pick of upcoming talent…
In a review I read for the BBC film, Dive, it stated, "It is lucky that, at a time when we are failing miserably to produce young footballers, we are producing such wonderful young actors." I'm not exactly sure why one would make up for the other, but I agree with the assertion. We have some great young actors and our young footballers are rubbish. For me, that's the best way round, though.
Here's a list of ten young British actors whom I expect to be making big moves in the world of entertainment in the near future, if they aren't already. The list is based on some completely subjective criteria such as talent,...

School's out, so let our guest experts help you make the most of the British summer. Here's what to watch, what to listen to, what to read, how to picnic to perfection, and how to find the best beaches
How to spot a good beach by Hugh Graham
The editor of Time Out's Seaside Guide suggests 10 ways to know you've found the perfect beach:
1) Crashing waves
The appropriately named Hell's Mouth in north Wales puts on quite a show, as do Freshwater West (Pembrokeshire) and Sennen Cove (Cornwall).
2) Great views
The views above Rhossili Bay, a sublime Welsh strand on the Gower, rival the world's great coastal vistas.
3) Caribbean feel
In the sunshine, the turquoise seas and talcum-powder sand at Luskentyre, on the Hebridean island of Harris, are almost Bahamian.
4) Crag action
I love a bit of cragginess. Bedruthan Steps in north Cornwall takes rugged good looks to extremes.

Channel 4 has struck a development deal with Kinetic Content, the new Us production company set up by former Rdf USA boss Chris Coelen. Under the deal, 4Rights, Channel 4’s rights exploitation division, will have first-look at UK rights to Kinetic shows which get picked up by Us cable networks. In effect, Channel 4 is seed funding Us cable shows which it can then broadcast over here. At the moment, it’s talking about developing two or three shows each year. That’s comparable to the $300,000 per hour it pays roughly for Us acquisitions. Channel 4’s investment will increase if a show does get picked up. The broadcaster has always enjoyed big ratings with Us imports such as ER and Friends. This way round is a kind of reverse engineering – developing shows which C4 thinks will work in Britain. Kinetic is developing 13-part cable dramas as well as shorter-run event series.

London -- U.K. broadcaster Channel 4's rights exploitation division 4Rights has signed a development deal with Kinetic Content, the U.S. production banner unfurled by former Rdf USA CEO Chris Coelen in March this year.
The freshly inked deal gives 4 Rights an exclusive first option to pick up all U.K. rights to scripted series developed by Kinetic for the U.S. cable market.
Kinetic will look to develop original and irreverent 13-part cable dramas, as well as shorter run event mini-series while working closely with Channel 4's La-based program acquisition consultant Crispin Leyser, the parties said Thursday.
Channel 4 will have creative approval over scripts and will work with Kinetic to determine appropriate U.S. outlets and key writers. Kinetic is charged with setting the projects up in the U.S., managing the development process and staff, and securing network orders for the series.

The story of John and Kay Ure, whose festive dinner was delayed by 30 days when they were separated by snow, is to be made into a Hollywood movie
Securing a festive turkey is not always the most straightforward of tasks. For a couple living in the extreme north-west of Scotland last year, it proved near impossible. Now, the story of how they finally managed it could be made into a Hollywood film.
John and Kay Ure live in the Cape Wrath lighthouse keeper's cottage at the most north-westerly point of the UK mainland. When Mrs Ure set out on 19 December for a trip to the shops, she faced the kind of journey which would convince the ambitious festive chef to plump for a nut cutlet instead.
First, Mr Ure drove his wife the 11 miles to a jetty where their boat was moored, and the pair crossed the Kyle of Durness sea loch together.
