Michael Raven's big rep isn't helped by this dismal attempt at satire, as painful for me to watch as one of those endless, going-nowhere SNL sketches of yore. And compounding that is the fact that Raven's mocking of TV late-night infomercials smacks of ripoff of Tim Meadows' SNL character later preserved in a lousy Paramount feature "The Ladies Man", significantly released a year before Raven shot this turkey.
An unfamiliar actor Anthony Skordi plays Mac Daddy, a whitebread version of Meadows' creation. He wears shades and is surrounded by the ethnically diverse femme trio of Kianna Dior, Nikki Fairchild and Tabitha Stern as he delivers his tiresome (and oh so repetitive) pitch for various products to help slobs in TV land with their sex life. The humor is unfunny and not creative, what we used to call "sophomoric", and typical gag has tiny print disclaimer that says: "This motion picture is protected by applicable laws against hopeless losers such as yourself".
Not to miss out entirely on the Black Humor of Meadows, a character is played by Mr. Marcus in a ridiculous Afro wig, getting to provide IR content when he humps Tommi Rose in routine manner.
Other skits are stillborn, as in guest star Frank Thring as a white-coater scientist, whose lab assistants Flick Shagwell and Monica Mayhem provide British Empire lesbian action.
Near the end Raven can't resist a brief "Star Wars" rip-off to sell some instructional tapes, and the in-jokes (including crew member Jon Rutkowski credited for a brief testimonial) are utterly pointless.
