Some fun bloopers and a character return marks this enjoyable episode.

Warning: Spoilers
One character's death warrant seems to be signed while another makes her first appearance in months. Clarice Blackburn, a busy stage actress, was also hopping around on other soaps, and is back as she nearly catches Dr. Woodard in Julia's room. A key piece of evidence is missing leaving Julia and Barnabas frantic. Meanwhile, there are accidental off camera bangs, a sudden surprising camera movement and the flustered Louis Edmunds refers to Elizabeth (who is present) as his late sister. It's charming how they just let these glitches go through, giving fans of the cult series a lot to discuss at conventions and in online chat rooms.

Still not over the whole Burke Devin situation, Roger objects to Elizabeth allowing him to move into the west wing with Victoria once they marry, and Roger even brings it up to Barnabas which I'm sure stirs up jealousy in Barnabas even though there has been little indication of his ongoing feelings for Victoria lately. Both Dr. Woodard and Barnabas seemed caught off-guard when Dave comes downstairs, very frantic, and it's obvious when Julia and Barnabas go upstairs that they will find what Dave has been up to. It's not great writing for Dave to do something so stupid and not have a plan to escape the wrath of the vampire, but they are rushing to end this story so they can move into different directions.

A burglary and a hissy fit

Warning: Spoilers
Episode 339 doesn't do a great deal to further the slow-moving plot. Dr Woodard's house-breaking investigation is the most entertaining part of this, although Roger's hissy fit over the possibility of Burke living with him comes a close second. Watch out for the bit where the cameraman appears to drop the camera.
