Warning: Spoilers
An ailing Barnabas is a more kindly Barnabas, actually gentle with Willie and reflective over a possible fate and the presence of his late sister David. He blames Julia's experiments for this, but she claims that the results are working. However her look reflects a fear that something is wrong, but it is clear that she doesn't intend anything malevolent. David's visit with Sarah reflects a lot of detail about her life after death, and it's obvious that she is a threat to Barnabas as much as Julia is.

The way that Jonathan Frid delivers each line is like a short little Shakespeare play, and the teamings with John Karlen and Grayson Hall are even more powerful than the attempts with both Maggie and Victoria. Watch out for Julia and her pencil which she holds onto like a cigarette in a long holder. There's also a conversation between Julia and Barnabas in regards to the unseen Burke, delightfully sinister. A fun episode that makes good use of the newly added color. The best thing is that the actors seem to be enjoying it too even if they are taking the campy elements seriously. David gets a glimpse into the hidden room in the Collins family crypt which leads to a fun surprise.
